Method and System for Medical Emergency First Aid in an Accident using Cooling Cervical Spine Collar and Cooling Protective Helmet
The present invention provides a medical emergency first aid during accidents using cervical spine collar to insert a splint for stabilization, resuscitation, initiation of mild to moderate external hypothermia, and vital signs monitoring in victims of traumatic brain (TBI) and cervical spinal injury (CSI). The cervical spine collar of the present invention is housed in the head rest of the vehicle seat and could be deployed automatically using artificial intelligence (AI) or manually by an assistant. One embodiment incorporates a protective helmet with cooling apparatus to induce mild to moderate external hypothermia of the brain to prevent deleterious effects of TBI.
Multi-layer heating mat for providing therapeutic heat to an area of the body
A heating mat that, by making use of a multilayered structure, is able to provide therapeutic benefits to a user. The heating mat has a heating layer, PEMF emitters, and a primary therapeutic layer. The primary therapeutic layer uses therapeutic materials that facilitate treatment. The heating layer functions as a flexible heating element for the heating mat. The PEMF emitters are devices which generate pulses of EM energy that are known to have therapeutic properties. The PEMF emitters is mounted adjacent to a first face of the heating layer. The primary therapeutic layer is mounted adjacent to a second face of the heating layer, opposite to the PEMF emitter.
THERMAL VIBRATION FOAM ROLLER
A cordless foam roller applies heat and vibration through a rotary motor to muscles, and operates using an internal rechargeable power source when in use. The cordless foam roller includes an elongated cylindrically-shaped body having a textured exterior surface, and defining an inner cavity for receiving and accommodating an inner console; the inner console defining an inner cavity housing one or more of a circuit board comprising a microcontroller and heat and vibration setting buttons; a battery; and a rotary motor; and having an outer surface supporting one or more heating elements thereon. The foam roller is used for musculoskeletal rehabilitative, therapeutic and stretching programs.
Method and Apparatus to Deliver Therapeutic Energy to a Patient Using Multi-Objective Optimization as a Function of a Patient's Quality of Care
These teachings include accessing energy dosing information along with at least one quality-of-care model that correlates at least one categorical energy-based treatment patient quality-of-care outcome with at least one resultant energy-based treatment description. The model can be created via probabilistic mapping that maps patient impact information to dose impartation information to infer non-biological impact to a patient. A patient treatment plan can be optimized for a particular patient as a function of the foregoing information to provide corresponding resultant benefit trade-of evaluation information. This benefit trade-off evaluation information can be displayed to a user to permit the user to explore the benefit trade-off evaluation information to thereby identify a resultant energy-based treatment plan having a selected balance between dosing a treatment target with energy and a quality-of-care impact on the particular patient.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED AND VIBRATING THERAPEUTIC GARMENT
A temperature controllable wrap assembly that includes a wrap portion configured to be worn around a user's body part, and at least a first temperature control module positioned on the wrap portion. The first temperature control module includes a housing, a controllable temperature element, a spreader member and at least a first finger spreader pivotably attached to the spreader member. The lower surface of the spreader member is positioned to contact the user's body part. The controllable temperature element is configured to transfer thermal energy to an upper surface of the spreader member, and the spreader member is configured to conduct thermal energy to the first finger spreader.
Targeted Temperature Management Systems, Pads, and Methods Thereof
Disclosed herein are systems, pads, and methods thereof for targeted temperature management. In an example, a pad for targeted temperature management can include a pad body, a conduit system, one or more inlets, and one or more outlets. The pad body can be of a conformable material configured to conform to a body of a patient on the pad. The conduit system can be disposed in the pad body or an overlayer configured for placement over the pad body. The conduit system can include one or more conduits configured to convey a fluid through the pad body or the overlayer. The one-or-more inlets can be configured for charging the conduit system with the fluid, while the one-or-more outlets can be configured for discharging the fluid from the conduit system. Methods of the systems and pads can include methods of use. In another example, a deformable pad can be configured for receiving a neonatal patient.
Electrically-heatable plaster
An electrically-heatable plaster that comprises a self-adhesive skin contact layer, an electrically-conductive textile fabric in which electrically-conductive fibres are in contact with one another, as a heating element, and optionally at least one active substance, as well as to a method for production and the use of same for local heat therapy and/or transdermal application of active substances.
Cooling system and method for a prosthetic socket
A prosthetic socket cooling system and method includes a thermally conductive heat spreader including a curved shaped portion configured to maximize contact with a residual limb of a user. A heat extraction subsystem is coupled through a wall of the prosthetic socket and to the thermally conductive heat spreader and is configured to maintain a desired temperature inside the prosthetic socket.
AESTHETIC METHOD OF BIOLOGICAL STRUCTURE TREATMENT BY MAGNETIC FIELD
Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.
Non-contact, infrared sensing temperature-activated controller for abatement of effects of hot flashes in a human body
A directable, portable appliance in combination with an adjustable set-point digital temperature controller for non-contact remotely monitoring infrared temperatures of a selected area of human skin and activating an electrical fan for directing cooling air over the selected skin areas of individuals experiencing episodes of thermal chaos, i.e., hot flashes.
