SLEEP POD
Introduced are methods and systems for a sleep pod. An occupant of a sleep pod can have a personalized sleeping experience based on an analysis of biological signals, environmental characteristics, occupant history, and other factors.
THERMAL SYSTEM WITH IMPROVED USER INTERFACE
A thermal control unit for controlling a patient's temperature includes a fluid outlet for delivering temperature-controlled fluid to a patient, a fluid inlet for receiving the fluid back, a pump, a heat exchanger, a controller for controlling the heat exchanger, a patient temperature port for receiving patient temperature readings, a memory, and a user interface that displays various data regarding thermal therapy sessions applied to patients using the thermal control unit. In some embodiments, past statistical data from previous thermal therapy sessions is stored in the memory and the controller displays a comparison of a current parameter of the current thermal therapy session to the past statistical data. The controller may also or alternatively automatically select a particular type of screen to display based on a type of user of the thermal control unit. The controller may also or alternatively generate after-session thermal therapy reports.
CONFORMING HEATING PAD
The present disclosure is directed to a heating pad that conforms to body parts of a user. The conforming heating pad can be worn to provide heat relief on different parts of a user's body. In an embodiment, a conforming heating pad includes a first layer on a posterior side of the heating pad, a second layer, a third layer, and a fourth layer on an anterior side of the heating pad. A continuous heating element is distributed throughout the second layer. The continuous heating element is capable of being selectively heated to increase the temperature of the heating pad. The third layer has a plurality of cavities formed in it. Each cavity holds a plurality of beads. When the heating pad is applied to a body portion of a user, the weight of the beads applies a force against the conductive heating element, the second layer, and the first layer to thereby conform them to the body portion of the user.
Pain management using cryogenic remodeling
Embodiments include methods and systems for treating joint pain associated with a nerve. A needle of a cryogenic system may be inserted beneath a skin surface. The needle may include an electrically conducting structure at least partially surrounded by an electrical insulator for conducting electrical energy. The needle may include an outer lumen and an inner lumen extending distally within the outer lumen, the inner lumen include a distal opening open to the outer lumen. The needle may be positioned at a desired location in proximity to the nerve, and a cooling therapy including cooling cycles and thawing periods may be performed to cool tissue at the desired location. The cooling therapy may sufficiently reduce the joint pain.
PATIENT WARMING APPARATUS
A patient warming apparatus having a central assembly and optionally extremity assemblies. The central assembly includes a heating body. The heating body comprises an inner heating fabric and an outer covering. The central assembly further includes a control module, a temperature sensor both attachable to a power supply. The extremity assemblies are attachable to the control module of the central assembly.
Pain management using cryogenic remodeling
Embodiments include methods and systems for treating back pain associated with a nerve. The cooling therapy may sufficiently reduce the back pain.
Mist generator for sterilizing forced hot air intraoperative patient warmer with improved sterility
A mist generator improves sterility of blowers having controlled forced air for patient warmers and lifters. The mist generator has a main body including a top wall with an opening, that traverses into a chamber adapted to receive a disinfectant, side walls and a bottom wall. The main body further includes an inlet duct adapted for attachment to a first hose which, in turn, is adapted for attachment to an output opening of the blower for delivery into the chamber of forced air carrying misted disinfectant. The main body also includes an output duct adapted for attachment to a second hose which, in turn, is adapted for attachment to an inlet opening of the blower for delivery of disinfectant misted air through internal components of the blower. The mist generator improves sterility of the blower, thereby mitigating microbial contamination of patient warmers and lifters, and hospital environments.
WOUND CARE AND INFUSION METHOD AND SYSTEM UTILIZING A THERAPEUTIC AGENT
A combination therapy pad that includes a first layer and a second layer operatively coupled to the first layer. A fiber-optic array is disposed between the first layer and the second layer. A third layer is operatively coupled to the first layer. The third layer includes a vacuum tube in fluid communication with a vacuum source and a therapeutic fluid tube in fluid communication with a therapeutic fluid source. The third layer provides at least one of vacuum therapy and therapeutic fluid treatment to a wound area.
Multifunctional Smart Cushion
A multifunctional smart cushion includes a smart cushion main body and a mobile terminal. The smart cushion main body includes a smart cushion cover, a structural portion, and a core portion. The structural portion is located around the core portion. The smart cushion cover covers the structural portion and the core portion. The structural portion is provided with a power supply and a controller. The core portion is provided with a fan, a heater, a temperature sensor, a reflux guiding channel, a therapy device, and a massage device. The fan, heater, temperature sensor, therapy device, and massage device are all connected to the power supply through the controller. The mobile terminal is connected to the controller via a wireless communication.
