Disclosed is a dynamic separation and filtration system for dewatering and dehydrating of slurries and sludges. The system includes a compression filter press cylinder in which hydraulic pressure within a sealed liner is used to press and separate moisture from a sludge. A self-contained closed sealed liner pressurizing component is connected thereto, for supplying pressurized hydraulic fluid to the sealed liner, and a compressed air and vacuum and backflushing cylinder component is connected thereto for voiding the press cylinder of a resulting cake. A sludge transfer and metering component supplies metered quantities of sludge to the press cylinder. A dynamic filtration clarifier and thickener initially separates solids from a slurry and thickens the slurry into sludge that is supplied to the metering component.

A filter element comprising two layers of weft (1) interlaced with warp (2). Additionally laid-in (3) yarns are provided in-between the two weft layers. The laid-in yarns (3) are not interlaced with the weft.

A filter press is disclosed for separating solid components from liquid components of a slurry. The filter press includes side beams and a plurality of filter plates oriented at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the side beams. The filter plates are adapted to move along the side beams. A stationary end is arranged on one end of the side beams and a movable head is adapted to transport the filter plates along the side beams. The filter press includes a press system adapted to exert a closing pressure on the filter plates to press the filter plates against each other. The press system further includes at least one electrically driven actuator adapted to generate an axially directed force on the filter plates by means of the movable head. The disclosure also relates to a method for separating the solid components from the liquid components of a slurry.

The NDC further breaks apart the solids of the sludge, removing interstitial water in a secondary dewatering phase, further lowering the moisture content of the sludge, while the CFP removes the tertiary water from the remaining solid particles by pressing the particles into a solid cake.

A filtrate collector element includes a hollow body forming a first opening portion, a second opening portion, and an intermediate portion. The intermediate portion forms a conduit between the first opening portion and the second opening portion. The collector element may be coupled with a pressure filter plate element. The outer dimension of the first opening portion is smaller than the inner dimension of the second opening portion, such that first opening portion of a preceding collector element can be at least partly nested in the second opening portion of a subsequent collector element. The invention concerns a filtration device comprising a manifold providing fluid connection and mechanical connection comprising a clamping plate movably mounted relative to the manifold and adapted to compress at least one cassette against the manifold, means for driving and guiding the clamping plate comprising a rod extending between the manifold and the plate, an actuator provided with a body and a member moveable relative to the body, which member is adapted to move through a predetermined travel between an extended position and a retracted position, the body being carried by the manifold, and the member carrying the rod and driving the plate via the rod to a clamped position in which the member is in an intermediate retracted position in which it has moved through a shorter travel than the predetermined travel relative to its extended position.

The invention concerns a filtration device comprising a manifold providing fluid connection and mechanical connection comprising a clamping plate movably mounted relative to the manifold and adapted to compress at least one cassette against the manifold, means for driving and guiding the clamping plate comprising a rod extending between the manifold and the plate, an actuator provided with a body and a member moveable relative to the body, which member is adapted to move through a predetermined travel between an extended position and a retracted position, the body being carried by the manifold, and the member carrying the rod and driving the plate via the rod to a clamped position in which the member is in an intermediate retracted position in which it has moved through a shorter travel than the predetermined travel relative to its extended position.
