PATIENT WARMING SYSTEM
A patient warming system includes a control unit coupled to one or more warming devices. The control unit may control application of power to the heating elements of the warming devices. The control unit may provide hardware and/or software approaches to monitor and detect an overtemperature situation and/or fault of a given warming device.
Air Purification Cooling and Warming Mask
The invention is comprising of a mask which will provide air purification with cooling and warming, utilizing tubing filled with controlled by a liquid embedded within cover which can be attached or detachable, but not limited to. The temperature control switch utilizing a thermostat and distributed by pump the liquid can be controlled by utilizing a thermostat or without, and distributed by a pump the cover is provided in different sizes, shapes and styles forms for preference to accommodate the said user requirements for comfort, to conform to the said user requirements for comfort. The utilization of power operation can be a battery connected by USB, or electricity, solar energy and other sources of energy producing elements, but not limited to. Therefore, the cover can be used outdoors or indoors for the comfort of the user. In addition, there is are filters attach and are detachable; filter that will help clean the incoming air, filter that provides a filament of organic herbs scents that are breathable and can be serve medicinal purposes, but not limited to supply healthy fragrance within the Mask. A fan that is attached and can be detachable to provide air circulation from outside that is filtered before it reaches inside the mask to help purify the incoming air. A exhaust valve filter is placed inside mask with a filter attached to exit air outside the mask that is filtered upon when exiting which provides safety to the outside environment.
Safety circuits for electric heating element
A system controller such as a microprocessor receives voltage signals produced from a resistor identifying the functional or nonfunctional operating state of a power switch which controls the amount of power provided to a load in an electrical system. The resistor is also used to provide voltage signals representing the temperature of a heating element of the type used in heating pads and heating blankets. The functional or nonfunctional operating state of a safety switch in a safety circuit capable of blowing a fuse and cutting power to the load is periodically tested to ensure the safety of the electrical system.
FLUID COUPLING
A coupling that includes a male part and a female part. The male part has a distal most end, and a retaining projection having a retaining surface located proximal to the distal-most end of the male part. The female part has a retaining recess having a retaining top edge. The male part is configured to be received into the female part, and the retaining top edge of the retaining recess is configured to engage the retaining surface of the retaining projection. The male part may be connected to a medical hose and the female part may be connected to a medical device, or vice versa, wherein the medical device is a source of fluid, a thermal blanket, a pad, or a mattress.
Thermal system
A thermal control unit for controlling a patient's temperature includes a fluid outlet for delivering temperature-controlled fluid to a patient, a pump, first and second cooling units, and a controller that selectively enables and disables at least one of the cooling units based on one more factors, such as the temperature of the fluid. Alternatively or additionally, a variable speed fan is included in one or both of the cooling units that blows air over the condenser and the controller selectively controls the fan speed based on factors such as the temperature of the circulating fluid. The thermal control unit may be modified to accept a cartridge having its own cooling unit. When so modified, the controller communicates with a controller inside of the cartridge and coordinates control of the cartridge cooling unit and the cooling unit inside the thermal control unit that is external to the cartridge.
BED FOR THERAPEUTIC AND RECREATIONAL APPLICATIONS
A bed for therapeutic and recreational applications, comprises a frame structure, a mattress provided on the frame structure of the bed, a plurality of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) configured to emit electromagnetic radiation, an infrared heater assembly provided within the frame structure, the infrared heater assembly including a plurality of flexible heating elements connected with a power source, a plurality of temperature sensors provided at a plurality of locations on the frame structure and the mattress in order to generate signals in correlation with temperature values at the plurality of locations. Further, the frame structure includes a plurality of frame segments adapted to rotate to respective predetermined angles. Also, the mattress is made from at least partially transparent material and includes a fluid that is at least partially transparent.
GERMICIDAL FORCED-AIR MEDICAL WARMING SYSTEM
A medical warming system and warming blanket having decontamination means or apparatus for germicidal decontamination of air passing into and/or through the warming blanket.
Positioning device for use in therapeutic treatment
Disclosed is a positioning device for use in a compound portable phototherapy device to contain and enhance therapeutic treatment to a subject. The positioning device comprises an inner surface composed of a non-porous, light reflective material, as well as an outer surface that may be opaque. Use of the positioning device in conjunction with a phototherapy device secures advantages of increased incident light directed on a subject and a controlled thermal environment for the subject. The positioning device may be portable and may be pliable, capable of being rolled or compressed. The positioning device may optionally include a visor, venting, and stabilizing cushioning. The positioning device may optionally include a thermal regulation element.
PATIENT THERMAL REGULATION SYSTEMS
Disclosed herein are devices and systems that conduct temperature-controlled air through one or more enclosed chambers that are placed adjacent to a patient to help control the patient's temperature without blowing air directly on the patient. In some embodiments, the enclosed chamber has an air inlet and an air outlet and a defined air flow pathway therebetween. Air exiting the device can be directed away from the patient. The devices can include a crush-resistant but flexible air-flow layer of material inside the enclosure that allows air flow even when a patient is laying on the device. A cushioning layer can also be included overlaying the air-flow layer. The flowing air can be any desired temperature to help warm or cool a patient. The patient can be a human or animal, for example.
UV Sterilization Apparatus, System, and Method for Forced-Air Patient Heating Systems
