The leading portion of the bypass housing comprises a sealing extension, an intermediate reducing taper, and a valve plug sealing surface. The sealing extension is positioned between the forward-facing seating surface and the intermediate reducing taper. The intermediate reducing taper is positioned between the sealing extension and the valve plug sealing surface and reduces towards the valve plug sealing surface.
Filter assembly with sedimentation pocket
A filter assembly, has: a housing defining an internal volume and an outlet fluidly connectable to an oil system; a filter cartridge removably received within the internal volume of the housing; and an inlet conduit defining an inlet fluidly connectable to the oil system, the inlet conduit being in fluid flow communication with the internal volume of the housing, the inlet conduit having: a wall circumscribing a main flow passage from the inlet to the internal volume, and a sedimentation pocket defined by the wall, the sedimentation pocket extending downwardly away from the main flow passage and in a direction having a component parallel to a direction of a gravity when the filter assembly is in use.
QUICK OIL CHANGE FILTER AND ASSEMBLY
An internal combustion engine includes a blower housing and a filtration system positioned in a path of cooling air from the blower housing. The filtration system includes a filter housing comprising a base that defines a series of radially extending fins extending circumferentially around the base, and a filter cartridge defining a longitudinal axis and being removably arranged within the filter housing. The base includes a drain and a channel formed radially between a first raised surface and a second raised surface, and the drain is in fluid communication with the channel. The filter cartridge includes a bottom endplate in engagement with both the first raised surface and the second raised surface so that fluid flow is inhibited through the channel and to the drain, and a filter media extending axially from the bottom endplate.
Bypass valve, device comprising bypass valve, and filter insert of the device
A bypass valve having an adjustable flow resistance for a device through which a fluid medium flows. The valve includes a seat and a body which is biased closed, and which is movable in the opening direction by a fluid medium pressure difference between the inflow and the outflow side of the valve when the pressure difference exceeds a threshold. A bypass flow path connects the inflow side to the outflow side through the seat. The bypass valve includes a screen disposed in the bypass flow path. The valve body has two different open positions that depend on the fluid medium pressure difference. The entire cross-section of the bypass flow path is covered by the screen in a first valve body open position with a lower pressure difference, and a screen-free bypass flow path cross-section is exposed in a second valve body open position with a greater pressure difference.
Bypass valve technology interface safety screen
A safety screen assembly includes a shroud sleeve with an upstream end that defines a flow inlet. A spring seat is disposed downstream from the shroud sleeve and includes a flow outlet. A screen spool is operatively disposed between the flow inlet and the flow outlet and includes a tubular body with an inner passage, a screen disposed within the inner passage, and a plurality of bypass passages formed in the tubular body. The tubular body is in sliding engagement with the shroud sleeve in both a first position and a second position, the shroud sleeve closing the plurality of bypass passages from fluid flow when the tubular body is in the first position, and the plurality of bypass passages being open to fluid flow when the tubular body is in the second position. A spring biases the tubular body of the screen spool toward the first position.
FILTER CARTRIDGE WITH OFFSET OUTLET AND INTEGRATED BYPASS
A filter cartridge includes a media pack defining a central cavity, a first endcap coupled to a first pack end of the media pack, and a second endcap coupled to a second pack end of the media pack. The second endcap includes a first conduit extending axially away from the media pack and fluidly coupled to the central cavity, and a second conduit extending axially away from the media pack and spaced apart from the first conduit. A first conduit axis of the first conduit and a second conduit axis of the second conduit are each radially offset from a central axis of the central cavity.
Torsional no filter no run system
A filtration system comprises a housing and a shell housing removably coupled to the housing. A valve comprise a valve housing and a plunger. The plunger comprises a seal member structured to seal an opening in the valve housing. The plunger is axially movable between a closed position, in which the seal member seals the opening, and an open position, in which the seal member does not seal the opening, thereby permitting fluid to flow through the valve housing. A filter element comprises filter media and an endcap. The endcap comprises an alignment tab configured to rotationally secure the filter element with respect to the shell housing when the shell housing is received in the housing. The endcap comprise a valve interaction projection structured to transfer rotation of the filter element and the shell housing to the plunger during installation of the filter element.
FAUCET-MOUNTED WATER FILTER WITH ADJUSTABLE FILTERED WATER STREAM DIRECTION
A faucet-mounted water filter features a filtered water stream with an adjustable direction. It has a main body and an outlet body positioned as an extension thereof. The main body has an elongated cylindrical portion with the replaceable water filter cartridge inside thereof and an extension portion for attachment to a kitchen faucet. A planar edge of the main body is positioned at an inclination angle of between 45 degrees and less than 90 degrees to a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical portion. The outlet body has an outlet wall positioned at the same angle. The outlet body is rotatably mounted on the body water passage via a curved outlet water passage extending through the outlet body to the filtered water outlet. Rotation of the outlet body causes a change in the direction of the filtered water stream.
FILTER VALVE ASSEMBLY
A filter assembly includes a manifold having a fluid inlet and outlet, and a filter housing having a filter medium therein. The filter medium defines inner and outer filter chambers between the filter medium and the filter housing. The filter housing is removably attached to the manifold to provide a fluid flow path from the inlet into the inner filter chamber via a supply channel, through the filter medium into the outer chamber and out of the outlet. A bypass valve assembly bypasses flow through the filter medium, which includes one or more openings in a wall of the supply chamber and a corresponding one or more flaps associated with respective openings. The flaps are moveable from a closed to open position in response to a pressure differential across the flap exceeding a predetermined value, and return to the closed position when the pressure differential is below the predetermined value.
