3D printed staged filtration media packs
A filter medium includes a plurality of layers each including an undulating strip of solidified material.
PORTABLE FILTERING APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
An apparatus includes a separator tank and a filter tank. The separator tank includes an inlet configured to receive liquid, an outlet, and a vertical baffle dividing the separator tank into an inlet section and an outlet section. The filter tank is in fluid communication with the outlet and includes a distribution tray approximately at a top of the filter tank and a horizontal baffle below the distribution tray. The horizontal baffle is spaced vertically from the distribution tray forming a first capacity reservoir. The horizontal baffle is further spaced vertically above a bottom of the filter tank to form a second capacity reservoir.
PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING FILTER CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLIES AND MOLDED POLYURETHANE ELASTOMERS
Disclosed are processes for producing molded polyurethane elastomers and products, such as filter end caps, that include such elastomers. The elastomers are the reaction product of a non-foaming reaction mixture comprising an isocyanate-reactive composition and an organic polyisocyanate prepolymer with an internal mold release agent.

The current technology relates to filter media configurations where the filter media has a surface with a treatment that increases the roll off angle of the surface for a 50 ?L water droplet when the surface is immersed in toluene. Some example filter media have a fluted configuration, and some example filter media have multiple layers. Filter media having multiple layers can be single facer media, for example, where one layer is planar and another layer is fluted.
Fuel filter employing one or more layers of wetlaid synthetic fibers
An in tank depth media fuel filter assembly includes a closed body having an interior and an exterior. The closed body has a first composite panel of filtration media and a second composite panel of filtration media. Each of the composite panels includes and outer support layer and at least three inner layers of filtration material including at least two spunbonded layers of synthetic filaments and at least one layer of wetlaid synthetic fibers. An opening is provided in the body for providing fluid communication with the interior thereof.
Filtration Media for Filtration/Purification of a Liquid or Gas, Related Reactor Modules, Filtration Devices and Methods
The invention includes a filtration medium for the purification of a liquid or a gas material that includes a mat having a first surface and a second surface. At least one of the first surface or the second surface is substantially non-planar. The mat comprises a foamed resin having a density of about 1 lbs/ft3 to about 3 lbs/ft3 and/or an indentation load deflection of about 35 lbs to about 150 lbs.
Also included in the invention is a filtration medium for the purification of a liquid or a gas material comprising at least two mats, each mat having a first surface and a second surface, wherein at least one of the first surface or the second surface is substantially non-planar and has a substantially non-uniform convolution profile.
Included are devices for the filtration of a liquid and/or a gas that comprise one or more reactor modules. The reactor modules include the filtration medium and a substantially cylindrical chamber and/or a substantially rectangular chamber that may include sides, a top and a bottom. The chamber additionally includes a base that extends from the sides of the chamber towards the interior of the chamber and the filtration medium is disposed within the chamber.
Methods of filtering a gas or liquid material using the filtration medium are also provided, as are methods of fabrication of the modules.
Method for producing liquid high-purity polyhydric alcohol derivative-modified silicone or composition thereof
A production method of a liquid high-purity polyhydric alcohol derivative-modified silicone or a composition thereof is disclosed. The method comprises: a capturing step 1) of bringing into an impurity-containing composition containing a liquid polyhydric alcohol derivative-modified silicone and hydrophilic impurities originating from a polyhydric alcohol derivative, the polyhydric alcohol derivative being a hydrophilic modifier of the polyhydric alcohol derivative-modified silicone, into contact with solid particles capable of capturing the hydrophilic impurities, and then capturing the hydrophilic impurities with the solid particles; and a separating step 2) of separating the polyhydric alcohol derivative-modified silicone and the solid particles. The method is useful for production of the liquid high-purity polyhydric alcohol derivative-modified silicone and the composition thereof on a commercial scale.
CARTRIDGE FILTER USING NANOFIBER COMPOSITE FIBER YARN AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Provided is a cartridge filter using nanofiber composite fiber yarn, the cartridge filter including: a core having a plurality of holes through which a liquid passes; and a filter medium wound around the core to collect an object to be filtered contained in the liquid, wherein the filter medium comprises composite fiber yarn in which a nanofiber web which is produced by accumulating nanofibers produced by an electrospinning method is laminated to a porous nonwoven fabric, to thus provide excellent durability and improved filtration performance.
Rain head and screen therefor
A rain head comprising a lower body, a screen and an upper body. The screen includes a frame having a trough or recess. Lower parts of the sidewalls of the upper body 14 can fit into the trough or recess to enable the upper body to be removably mounted to the rain head. The screen also includes a peripheral flange and a downwardly extending lip that enable the screen to be removably mounted to the upper part of the lower body. At least some water splashing off the screen during a rain event comes into contact with the upper body and is re-directed to flow into the lower body and out through the outlet of the lower body to a rainwater collection tank. The screen and upper body may be provided separately to the lower body.
Embossed fluid filter treatment
A fluid filter element comprising: an embossed flat filter material which is folded so as to define a plurality of substantially adjacent walls, each wall defining a planar surface between two adjacent fold lines, said wall having an embossing comprising: a first embossing row having a centrally located elongated positive embossment and a distal embossment at each end of the positive elongated embossment, wherein at least one distal embossment is negative; and, a second embossing row spaced from and parallel to the first embossing row, the second embossing row having two elongated embossments, wherein one elongated embossment is negative and one is positive. A method regarding the making of the same.
