FILTER AND METHOD FOR FILTERING A LIQUID
An oil filter assembly is disclosed for a machine, such as an internal combustion engine, that has an oil output port and an oil input port. A mounting plate is fixed with an outer enclosure. The mounting plate is further adapted to conduct oil from the machine into a peripheral portion of the outer enclosure, and then returning oil from a central portion of the outer enclosure back to the machine. Oil may pass from the peripheral portion to the central portion through a primary filter having a first porosity. A pressure-actuated valve is fixed fluidly between the portions of the outer enclosure.
Method of reducing the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in a gas stream
A filtration medium for the purification of a liquid or a gas material includes a mat having a first surface and a second surface in which at least one of the first surface or the second surface is substantially non-planar. The mat comprises a foamed resin 5 having a density of about 1 lbs/ft3 to about 3 lbs to ft3 and/or an indentation load deflection of about 35 lbs to about 150 lbs. Methods of filtering a gas or liquid material using the filtration medium are also provided, as are methods of fabrication of the modules.
FILTER FRAME, FILTER CARTRIDGE, AND ASSEMBLING METHOD OF THE FILTER CARTRIDGE
A filter frame, a filter cartridge, and an assembling method of the filter cartridge are provided. The method has the following steps. A filter core and a filter frame are prepared. The filter frame has a glue-cutting segment. Glue is coated around an outer wall of the filter core, and then the filter frame, which is mounted around the filter core, is pushed toward the glue to make the glue-cutting segment press the glue until the glue is cut into two parts. The inner glue part disposed between the filter core and the filter frame seals the filter cartridge. The outer glue part is disposed on an outer side of the filter frame, and is superfluous and removed. The glue-coating is combined with the mounting of the filter frame, thereby saving time and effort.
FILTER CARTRIDGE FOR LIQUID FILTERATION; ASSEMBLY; AND, METHODS
A liquid filter cartridge is provided. Preferred seal arrangements are provided, to provide for preferred axial load conditions, with respect to one or more of the end caps of the cartridge. Some cartridge configurations provided include no core structure or outer liner structure therein, to support axial load. Assemblies using the cartridge, and methods of assembly and use, are provided. The liquid filter cartridge can be a serviceable cartridge, or it can be retained permanently in a housing.
Method for producing liquid high-purity sugar derivative-modified silicone or composition thereof
A production method for a liquid high purity sugar derivative-modified silicone or a composition thereof is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: 1) capturing hydrophilic impurities in solid particles by causing an impurity containing composition containing liquid sugar derivative-modified silicone and the hydrophilic impurities derived from a sugar derivative to contact the solid particles, the sugar derivative being a hydrophilic modifier of the sugar derivative-modified silicone, and the solid particles being able to capture the hydrophilic impurities; and 2) separating the sugar derivative-modified silicone and the solid particles. The method is useful for production of the liquid high purity sugar derivative-modified silicone and the composition thereof on a commercial scale.

FILTER CARTRIDGE WITH INDEPENDENTLY REPLACEABLE FILTER ASSEMBLY
Disclosed is a filter cartridge with independently replaceable filter assembly, comprising a shell with a cavity and opening, a filter body is arranged in the cavity, a cover plate capable of sealing the opening is further detachably arranged at the opening of the cavity, a water inlet for raw water to flow in, a waste water outlet for waste water to flow out and a purified water outlet for filtered liquid to flow t are further formed. in the shell respectively, and the filter body is formed by mutually sleeving at least two independent filter assemblies. Because the filter body is formed by mutually sleeving more than two independent filter assemblies, some of the filter assemblies, with the due service life, of the filter cartridge can be independently replaced without replacement of the whole filter body so that cost for using the filter cartridge can be reduced, the filter assemblies with the service life not due can also be prevented from being abandoned, thus saving social resources.
Adsorption carrier-packed column
An adsorption carrier-packed column includes a central pipe, adsorption carrier, plate A, and plate B, wherein an insertion material C is inserted between the adsorption carrier and the plate A; an insertion material D is inserted between the adsorption carrier and the plate B; the ratio of the deformation rate of the insertion material C (C.sub.1) to the deformation rate of the adsorption carrier (E.sub.0) is 1<C.sub.1/E.sub.0<10, and the ratio of the deformation rate of the insertion material D (D.sub.1) to the deformation rate of the adsorption carrier (E.sub.0) is 1<D.sub.1/E.sub.0<10; and the ratio of the thickness of the insertion material C (T.sub.C) to the distance of a gap between the adsorption carrier and the plate A (L.sub.A) is 1.1<T.sub.C/L.sub.A<4, and the ratio of the thickness of the insertion material D (T.sub.D) to the distance of a gap between the adsorption carrier and the plate B (L.sub.B) is 1.1<T.sub.D/L.sub.B<4.
Method of filtering fuel
A filter element is provided with a snorkel that facilitates bleeding of air along the outside periphery of a tubular filter media pack to a bleed chamber contained within the filter element. This may be employed in fuel filtration applications during installation and removal of filter elements whereby air can be temporarily trapped in a housing containing the filter element. The snorkel thus vents the air along the outside of the filter element and then into a bleed chamber where it can be communicated to a standpipe having an isolated bleed passage.
FILTRATION MEDIA, FILTER PACKS, AND FILTER ELEMENTS WITH PROTRUSIONS
Pleated filtration media, filtration media packs, and filtration elements containing projections are disclosed. The pleated filtration media includes projections on at least one surface, the projections configured to engage adjacent media sheets so as to reduce masking of the media. The pleated media and media pleat packs contain protrusions on the surface of the media. These protrusions are three dimensional structures that are on the surface of the media and are provided by forming the protrusion directly in the filtration media or applying structures, such as adhesive beads, or onto one or both faces of the media. Elongation of the adhesive bead can facilitate greater separation of the adjacent faces of pleated media if desired. These protrusions, also referred to herein as projections or dimples, can either contact each other or contact flat media and keep adjacent media faces from becoming in intimate contact with each other.
