WATER SAMPLING IMMERSION PROBE

The present invention relates to a water sampling immersion probe (50) for continuously filtering a water sample from wastewater (14). The water sampling immersion probe (50) includes a distal coarse filter (60) with a porosity of 0.1 to 1.0 mm, a proximal fine filter (70) arranged downstream of the coarse filter (60) and having a porosity of less than 5.0 μm, and a sample suction opening (74) arranged downstream of the fine filter (70). The coarse filter (60) is arranged to not contact the fine filter (70).

Filter apparatus

A filter device for cleaning particulate contaminants from a fluid flow, includes a plurality of filter elements (34, 60) accommodated in filter chambers (12, 14, 32) as components of a joint filter housing (10) and grouped around a backwash device (20) having a piston accumulator (56) for receiving a backwash fluid. In the storage housing (64) of the piston accumulator, a piston (57) is guided in a longitudinally movable manner, is controlled by a pressure medium, and passes on the backwash fluid stored in the storage housing (64) on to at least one filter element (60) to be backwashed for cleaning purposes via a backwash device (20). The backwash device also discharges the backwash fluid from the filter device. A specific filter element as a bypass filter element (34) is selected from the plurality of filter elements (34, 60), and exclusively removes particles after a changeover device (18) has been actuated, while the other filter elements (60) are excluded from this removal process.

A filter device may include a filter housing and a filter element defining a longitudinal axis disposed in the filter housing. The filter element may be configured to be penetrated by a fluid flow in a radial direction from a raw end to a pure end of the filter element. A water separator may be disposed at the pure end of the filter element and arranged axially spaced from the same. The water separator may have a hydrophobic and annular diaphragm extending in an axial direction of the filter element configured to be penetrated by the fluid flow from a raw end of the water separator in a radially outward to a radially inward direction with respect to the longitudinal axis to separate water from the fluid flow.

A filter element may include a tubular member including a partition at least partially defining first and second chambers. The tubular member may further include at least one outlet aperture and at least one inlet aperture configured to provide flow communication exiting from the first chamber and flow communication into the second chamber, respectively. The filter element may be configured such that fluid passing through the filter element from an inlet port to an outlet port passes through the first chamber, a filter medium, and the second chamber. The filter element may also include an end cap having a return aperture configured to provide flow communication between fluid exiting from the first chamber and fluid entering the inlet port, wherein a portion of fluid exiting from the first chamber is returned to the inlet port for recirculation through the first chamber.

Filtering device, and filtering element for use in such a filtering device

A filtering device for fluids includes a filter housing (1) and a filter element (9) received in the filter housing. The filter element has an end cap (17) on at least one end. The end cap forms an enclosure for the corresponding end edge of the filtering material (23, 35) and is fixed on an element receiver (13) interacting with the bottom part (5) of the filter housing (1) to fix the position of the filter element (9) in its functional position. The element receiver forms a fluid path for the cleaned fluid exiting the hollow chamber (19) of the filter element (9). The element receiver (13) contains a valve arrangement (55) blocking the fluid path (35). A control device (79, 83) releasing the valve arrangement (55) in the functional position is on the end cap (17) of the filtering element (9). The end cap is fixed on the element receiver (13).

Aspects herein include filter systems including short-range wireless tracking features to detect insertion and/or removal of filter elements from filter systems. In an embodiment, a filtration system is included having a housing including a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The housing can define an internal volume. A first filter element can be removably disposed within the housing. A short-range wireless communication tag can be associated with the first filter element. A short-range wireless communication reader can be associated with the housing, the reader configured to wirelessly send data to and receive data from the tag when the reader and the tag are at a distance that is less than or equal to a maximum communication distance. Removal of the first filter element from the housing can cause the distance between the tag and the reader to exceed the maximum communication distance. Other embodiments are also included herein.
