Transverse flow self-cleaning strainer
10328365 · 2019-06-25 · ·

A system for filtering particles from a fluid includes a strainer. The strainer includes a housing having an inlet, a first outlet, a second outlet. A filter element is positioned in an internal volume of the housing. The filter element defines a bore formed axially-therethrough and openings that are substantially transverse to the bore. A first portion of the fluid that enters the housing through the inlet flows through the openings in the filter element and exits the housing through the first outlet, and a second portion of the fluid that the housing through the inlet bypasses the openings and exits the housing through the second outlet.

Filter apparatus with vented core

Described are liquid filter apparatuses that include a housing, an interior within the housing, a cartridge assembly (otherwise known as a filter cartridge) contained within the housing, and a vent that allows gaseous fluid from an interior of the housing to be released to an exterior of the housing, as well as related methods.

Water and debris recovery system
10265648 · 2019-04-23 · ·

The present system relates to a water and debris recovery system for a water blasting device suitable for mounting upon the frame of a mobile vehicle for easy transport and use. The system includes a liquid reservoir connected to a high pressure fluid pump for directing ultra-high pressure water through a blast head to remove the coatings or markings from a surface. The blast head includes a shroud which surrounds the blasting area to at least partially contain the water and debris dislodged from the surface. A vacuum pump is secured to the shroud with the vacuum passing through a cyclone type separator, allowing the water and debris to settle to the bottom portion of the cyclone. The tank includes a floating floor and bladder assembly that allows the same space to be utilized for clean as well as dirty water while maintaining separation of the two.

A PRESSURE CONSUMPTION REGENERATING FILTER

A separator preventing microplastics from entering the environment through regenerating the pressure consumption of filters for removing microplastics an effluent. The separator for separating microplastics from an effluent includes a chamber with an inlet and an outlet, a sieve structure forming a permeable barrier between the inlet and the outlet to filter the effluent, the sieve structure thus having an inlet side for unfiltered effluent and an outlet side for filtered effluent. The further includes a filter pressure regeneration apparatus for dislodging filtered material from the sieve structure. The filter pressure regeneration apparatus includes a conduit and a nozzle assembly having at least one cleaning nozzle directed towards the outlet side of the sieve structure to dislodge filtered material from the inlet side of the sieve structure.

HIGH PRESSURE FILTER APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS

Described are high pressure filter housings and apparatuses that are useful to contain a fluid under high pressure, with example housings including first and second pieces having complimentary tapered joint surfaces that can form a fluid-tight seal without a gasket located between the surfaces, and methods of making and using the high pressure filter apparatuses.

INTEGRATED OXYGEN REMOVAL UNIT AND FUEL FILTER
20190060809 · 2019-02-28 ·

A system for use in a gas turbine engine fuel supply has an internal fuel filter having an internal bore and an external surface. A chamber within the internal bore of the fuel filter for receives a fuel and allows fuel to pass radially outwardly across the fuel filter. An oxygen removal unit is outwardly of the external surface of the fuel filter, such that fuel passes through the fuel filter, encounters the oxygen removal unit such that oxygen can be removed from the fuel, an outlet port for removed oxygen, and a separate outlet port for fuel having passed over the fuel filter and the oxygen removal unit.

Fluid filter with localized flow attachment

A fluid filter device is described, where a flow attachment member provides a unique interface between the filtering element and a filter head. The fluid filter described herein generally provides a flow structure that is localized and sealed. The flow attachment member is configured to communicate fluid into and out of the fluid filter, and is configured to localize fluid flow both into and out of the fluid filter within a separating structure of the flow attachment member. The flow attachment member further includes a seal structure configured to substantially prevent or at least confine leakage to a localized area away from proximity of the edges of the housing.
