Swimming pool cleaner with pleated medium filter
A filter holder for holding an open ended filter having an open proximal end and an open distal end in an operative position on a swimming pool cleaner having a pipe stub for receiving one open end of the filter is shown and described. The filter holder includes a cap for covering one open end of the filter, a coupler configured to cooperate with and engage the pipe stub, and a spanning connector configured to span and connect the cap and the coupler outside the pipe stub of the filter. The coupler may include L-shaped brackets. A constricting collar pins the brackets to the pipe stub. The spanning connector may include compression rods and nuts. The filter holder may include an optional adapter collar separable from the coupler, to adapt diameters of the coupler and the pipe stub. The invention may alternatively be considered to be a mobile swimming pool cleaner having a pleated medium filter rather than a flaccid bag filter.

APPARATUS FOR FILTERING LIQUIDS
The present invention relates to a filtering apparatus (1) for the filtration of liquids, in particular water. It comprises, inside a container (11), a first chamber (50) intended to receive liquid to be filtered, a second chamber (54) intended to receive filtered liquid, a first porous wall (51) and a second porous wall (53) which delimit a filtration chamber (40) between them. The first porous wall (51) divides the first chamber (50) from the filtration chamber (40) and the second porous wall (53) divides the second chamber (54) from the filtration chamber (40), so that the filtration chamber (40) is interposed between the first chamber (50) and the second chamber (54). A granular filter material (4) is housed in the filtration chamber (40) and is enclosed between the first porous wall (51) and the second porous wall (53). The first chamber (50) receives the liquid to be filtered at a first height (H1) which is at a higher altitude than the second height (H2) at which the second chamber (54) discharges the filtered liquid. The first chamber (50), the filtration chamber (40) and the second chamber (54) are flanked to each other and, in a section between the first height (H1) and the second height (H2), are all intersected by a plurality of horizontal planes (P) parallel to each other. In use, the liquid to be filtered passes from the first chamber (50) to the second chamber (54) substantially by gravity and through the filtration chamber (40) with a flow path having a horizontal component.

Adjustable Bernoulli Skimmer Basket
A quick release pool skimmer basket apparatus includes an adjustable attachment apparatus, a basket having a sidewall, a filter element coupled to the sidewall to move between an open position and a closed position, and a handle extending upwardly from the basket. A trigger in the handle is operatively coupled to the filter element to hold the filter element in the closed position. Activation of the trigger releases the bottom from the closed position to the open position.

FILTER FOR FUEL INJECTORS
A filter for filtering hydraulic fluid in a hydraulically actuated fuel injector. The filter includes a first disc structure and a second disc structure disposed axially spaced apart from the first disc structure. The second disc structure is also disposed parallel to the first disc structure. The filter further includes an intermediate structure extending from the first disc structure to the second disc structure. The intermediate structure includes a first surface and a second surface disposed opposite and parallel to the first surface. The intermediate structure defines a plurality of passages extending from the first surface to the second surface. Each of the plurality of passages is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the filter.

FILTER HOUSING ASSEMBLY
A filter housing assembly includes a base plate, an adapter block, and a shroud. The base plate may be permanently installed in a fluid-conveying system of conduits. A filter member is secured to a filter-receiving formation such as a pipe nipple extending from the adapter block and the shroud is secured to the adapter block to cover and seal the filter member. The adapter block is releasably secured to the base plate. The arrangement facilitates insertion and removal of the filter housing assembly into and out of the fluid-conveying system of conduits by converting multiple junction points into a single junction point, at which a subassembly consisting of just the shroud and the adapter block are connected into the system.
Method for producing a filter element
A method for producing a filter element for filtering fluids, such as hydraulic fluids, lubricants or fuels, includes the following steps: a) providing at least one section of a filter mat web (14) made of one or more layers of at least one filter medium; b) connecting the ends of the at least one section to form an annular body (12) and placing that annular body onto a support pipe (16); c) wrapping at least one cutout of a film web (8) around the outside of the annular body (12) located on the support pipe (16) and d) placing end areas (24) of the at least one cutout of the film web (8) one on top of the other and connecting the overlapping end areas (24).
