FILTER SYSTEM

A filter system and filters and housing components for use in the filter system are provided. The filter system includes at least one filter received within a housing having a cover and a housing body. The filter includes at least one latch tab engaged by the cover to secure the cover. First and second seals seal the system. The latch tab extends axially beyond a catch of the housing body. A filter system is also provided that includes a pre-cleaner through which fluid moves in a first direction different than a second direction as the fluid flows through the filters thereof. Methods of servicing the filter system are also provided.

Autonomous filtration switch

An apparatus for a switchable filter assembly includes a first conduit coupled to a second and a third conduit, where a liquid has the ability to flow through the first conduit to the second conduit and the third conduit, and where the second conduit and the third conduit are arranged in parallel. A first assembly is capable of sliding inside the first conduit, such that a position of the first assembly determines an amount of liquid flowing to the third conduit. The first assembly includes a compressible member coupled to a first structure, where the first structure prevents the liquid from passing through the first conduit to the third conduit. An amount of compression of the compressible member coupled to the first structure is dependent on a pressure of the liquid flowing from the first conduit to the second conduit.

Screen and screen elements for fuel systems

A screen element for a fuel system includes a first screen and a second screen. The first screen defines a first aperture and the second screen defines a second aperture. The first aperture and the second aperture are arranged out of circumferential alignment with one another such that a torturous flow path is defined through the apertures for capturing particles smaller than the apertures in a collection cavity defined between the screens.

A filter assembly includes a housing and a first filter, a second filter, and a heat exchanger all positioned in the housing. The filter assembly also includes a first inlet and a first outlet and defines a first liquid flow path. The first liquid flow path may extend within the housing between the first inlet and the first outlet through the first filter and along a first side of the heat exchanger. The filter assembly further includes a second inlet and a second outlet and defines a second liquid flow path. The second liquid flow path may extend within the housing between the second inlet and the second outlet through the second filter and along a second side of the heat exchanger.

Optimization of separation for viscous suspensions

The present invention relates to methods and systems for optimization of dilution of a viscous starting material to isolate and/or concentrate the product of interest from the starting source material such that the process minimizes the volume of diluent and the total volume of the waste stream generated during the process as well as maximizing the yield of desired product. The system employs cross-flow filtration modules with sub-channels that are equidistant to the inlet and outlet of said modules and such modules are characterized by optimal channel height, optimal transmembrane pressure, etc., which are selected in order to achieve the best combination of product quality and production yield.
