MODULAR FILTER ASSEMBLY
A fluid filter assembly that is defined by a head portion, a base portion, and a filter tube housing that is captured therebetween. Each head portion includes more than one fluid inlet and more than one fluid outlet that are oriented relative to the respective head portion such that a plurality of fluid filter assemblies can be fluidly connected to one another to provide a desired degree of filtration of the fluid passed therethrough and such that the fluid filter assemblies can be oriented in a plurality of orientations relative to one another to provide a desired configuration of the fluid filter assembly.
Filter device and system and clogging monitoring method
The invention relates to a particle filter device (1) comprising: a fluid inlet (20), a fluid outlet (21), a first fluid flow circuit (31) comprising a first filter zone (2) having a first filter surface (S.sub.1), a second fluid flow circuit (32) comprising a second filter zone (3) having a second filter surface (S.sub.2) and a constriction (4) having a constant hydraulic resistance so that, in operation, a first portion of the fluid flows through the first flow circuit (31) by passing through the first filter zone (2) and a second portion of the fluid flows through the second flow circuit (32) by passing through the second filter zone (3) and the constriction (4), and the first filter zone (2) reaches a predetermined clogging condition before the second filter zone (3).
Processes for filtering liquids using single pass tangential flow filtration systems and tangential flow filtration systems with recirculation of retentate
Methods of filtering a liquid feed are disclosed. In one version, the method comprises passing a liquid feed through a single pass tangential flow filtration (SPTFF) system and recovering the retentate and permeate from the system in separate containers without recirculation through the SPTFF system. In another version, the method of filtering a liquid feed, comprises passing a liquid feed through a tangential flow filtration (TFF) system, recovering permeate and a portion of the retentate from the system in separate containers without recirculation through the TFF system, and recirculating the remainder of the retentate through the TFF system at least once. The methods can be performed using an SPTFF or a TFF system that comprises manifold segments to serialize the flow path of the feed and retentate without requiring diverter plates.
Transverse flow self-cleaning strainer
A system for filtering particles from a fluid includes a strainer. The strainer includes a housing having an inlet, a first outlet, a second outlet. A filter element is positioned in an internal volume of the housing. The filter element defines a bore formed axially-therethrough and openings that are substantially transverse to the bore. A first portion of the fluid that enters the housing through the inlet flows through the openings in the filter element and exits the housing through the first outlet, and a second portion of the fluid that the housing through the inlet bypasses the openings and exits the housing through the second outlet.
Filter including RFID tag
A filter assembly including an RFID tag, for use in monitoring fluid processing, as well as a system and a method for monitoring fluid processing, and a filter for use in the filter assembly, are disclosed.
Flow Sensor
Flow sensors are provided that can provide both leak detection and flow monitoring. The flow monitoring enables a determination whether there are blockages or leaks in a fluid system during normal operation of the system. The leak detection enables detection of leaks when the system is shut off. The flow sensors can use a frusto-conical flow guide to provide a more compact flow sensor. The flow sensor components can be designed to retrofit existing filter assemblies.
Single Pass Tangential Flow Filtration Systems And Tangential Flow Filtration Systems With Recirculation Of Retentate
A method of filtering a liquid feed is described, comprising passing a liquid feed through a single pass tangential flow filtration (SPTFF) system and recovering the retentate and permeate from the system in separate containers. A method of filtering a liquid feed is also described comprising passing a liquid feed through a tangential flow filtration (TFF) system, recovering permeate and a portion of the retentate from the system in separate containers without recirculation through the TFF system, and recirculating the remainder of the retentate through the TFF system at least once. The methods of the invention can be performed using an SPTFF or a TFF system that comprises manifold segments to serialize the flow path of the feed and retentate without requiring diverter plates.
