An automatic self-cleaning filter that is driven by a submersible actuator and is configured to clean or filter one or more substances from a liquid.

A liquid filtration system comprising a filtration tank with: a separating roof on which are mounted groups of hoses fixed to respective support plates; a fluid distributor plate comprising a central portion without perforations, and a peripheral portion with a plurality of perforations, said distributor plate being located between the hoses and a lower inlet duct for the water to be filtered comprising an upper opening for supplying liquid to the holes near the central portion of the distributor plate and a lower opening for supplying liquid to the holes of the peripheral portion which are furthest from the central portion. The filter comprises a filter material, an outlet duct for the filtered water at the upper area of the tank, a regeneration circuit of the filter medium; a filter self-cleaning circuit and a control panel.

A screen filter for wastewater applications includes a chain tensioning system. The chain tensioning system provides a tensioning force for a screen filter chain. The chain tensioning system includes a chain adjuster device configured to tension the screen filter chain. The chain tensioning system additionally includes a sensor configured to provide a signal representative of a load applied by the chain adjuster; wherein the chain adjuster device is configured to apply a force in a direction that tensions the chain and wherein the signal provided by the sensor is representative of the force.

A method of forming articles from acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, the method comprising: feeding a monomer stream comprising a petrochemical monomer into a reactor; contacting the petrochemical monomer with a polymerization activator within the reactor to produce a polymerized stream comprising rubber, latex, or a combination thereof and withdrawing the polymerized stream from the reactor; passing the polymerized stream through a filter to produce a filtered product stream, wherein the filter is a continuously self-cleaning filter; passing the filtered product stream through a grafting unit comprising acrylonitrile and styrene to produce acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene; and forming an article from the acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, wherein the article is an extruded sheet, a molded part, or a combination thereof.

A product that is an apparatus for removing debris from water containing such debris using a perforated plate, a backer plate, and a skimmer, positioned adjacent the back of the perforated plate to provide a means of removing debris from the perforated plate without scraping the debris from the perforated plate, the skimmer bar and the backer plate being synchronized in their movement.

An air purifier having a polygonal casing defining one or more inside corners, a cylindrical air filter extending along a center axis within the polygonal casing with a space formed between a radially outwards facing surface of the filter and at least one of the one or more the inside corners of the casing, and a filter cleaner at least partly located in the space. A household dishwasher includes a washing container for holding a dishwasher load, a sump arranged at a bottom of the washing container, a filter system provided at the sump, and a spray arm for applying washing liquor and/or fresh water to the dishwasher load.
