Method and apparatuses for screening

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a screen basket apparatus includes a substantially vertical cylindrical frame and a synthetic screening surface secured to the frame. The synthetic screening surface may be configured to separate carbon or resin from a slurry of a carbon-in-leach, carbon-in-pulp, resin-in-leach, or resin-in-pulp material as fluid flows from outside to inside the screen basket apparatus such that carbon or resin is retained on an external surface of the synthetic screening surface. The cylindrical frame may be a grid frame and the synthetic screening surface may include a plurality of replaceable screen assemblies attached to the grid frame. The grid frame may include a plurality of openings and each of the plurality of openings is configured to receive a respective one of the plurality of replaceable screen assemblies. The synthetic screening surface may include injected molded thermoplastics, thermoset polyurethanes, and/or other polymeric materials.

In accordance with an implementation, an upper deck assembly for use with a vibratory separator having a basket and a lower deck, the upper deck assembly includes a pair of side rails, a filter screen, and a support. The side rails are couplable to inward facing surfaces of the basket and the filter screen is supportable by the side rails. The support extends from the filter screen and is configured to engage the lower deck or a support surface of the vibratory separator and provide support for the filter screen across a width thereof.

The monitoring tool may be coupled to the actuated arm and may monitor a screen assembly in the shaker. The controller may be in electrical communication with the actuated arm and the monitoring tool, and may control the actuated arm based on the monitoring of the screen assembly.

The screen assembly includes at least one layer of screening material, a screen support having a perimeter with at least one support point within the perimeter, wherein the flow tray includes at least one raised portion to support the screen assembly. In some versions the shale shaker has a basket having side supports and at least one intermediate support arranged between the side supports. The screen assembly includes a screen support supporting at least one layer of screening material.

A system for mud solid control includes a translational elliptical multilayer ultra-wide screen shaker, a degasser, a solid-liquid separator, a large capacity centrifugal machine and a collector for solid shales. The solid-liquid separator includes a base which is provided with a feed tank and vibrating supports. A vibrating tank is fixed to the vibrating supports, and screen drums, vibration motors and an anti-vibration driving motor are assembled on the vibrating tank. The anti-vibration driving motor is connected to the screen drums. Each of the screen drums includes an inner drum, an intermediate drum and an outer drum. The system and a corresponding process thereof can greatly simply and improve the process for mud solid control and relevant devices, improve usage effect, reduce cost, save electrical power, reduce occupied area and simply maintenance and management of devices involved.
