The feed housing has a feed chamber, an inlet opening, and at least one outlet opening. The feed chamber defines a proximal portion adjacent to the inlet opening and a distal portion at least a portion of which is adjacent to the at least one outlet opening. A cross-sectional area of at least a portion of the proximal portion is greater than a cross-sectional area of the distal portion. The at least one feed lid is movably attached to the feed housing such that the at least one feed lid covers the at least one outlet opening in a closed position, and does not cover the at least one outlet opening in at least one open position.

A replaceable screen member (33) is releasably secured at an inner ring frame (22) and an outer ring frame (36) of the screen body (12).

Methods and apparatuses for screening are provided. Embodiments include a screen basket apparatus for screening material, comprising a grid frame having a plurality of openings arranged in a lattice and a plurality of screening cartridge assemblies affixed to the grid frame to cover the respective openings of the grid frame. The screening cartridge assembly includes a case and a screen assembly fitted into the case, and may be affixed to a set of transversal member of the grid frame. The case may be formed of a single injection molded piece integrally formed by injection molding one of a polyurethane or a thermoset polymer. The screening elements together form a generally continuous screening surface across the exterior of the grid frame, which reduces blinding and is resistant to wear and tear.

Each of the split filters has an arc shape in cross section. Each of the split filters includes a filter element for filtration and side frame bodies provided along side portions of the filter element. The side frame body of one of the two split filters adjacent to each other includes a first facing surface having an uneven shape. The side frame body of the other split filter includes a second facing surface having an uneven shape complementary to the first facing surface. The first facing surface and the second facing surface are fitted to each other when the filter main body is assembled.

A rotating drum screen system for separating solids from an influent material stream includes a housing having an influent inlet, a solid discharge end and an area between the influent inlet and the solid discharge end. A hollow portion of a drum screen positioned lengthwise in the area between the influent inlet end and the solid discharge end receives influent. The drum screen includes a filter screen that retains at least a portion of the solids within the hollow portion of the drum screen and which produces a liquid effluent that is discharged from an outer surface of the drum screen. The retained solids are removable from the drum screen via the solid discharge end. A head box is disposed within the hollow portion of the drum screen and has a plurality of fluid flow channel dividers dividing and directing an influent stream outwardly against the drum screen.
