NOVEL DEVICE FOR OPHTHALMIC DELIVERY
Described herein is an intracameral therapeutic agent delivery device in the form of a pen-injector comprising a cartridge container for dispensing multiple doses of a medicament, coupled to an actuation assembly within a housing. A needle assembly is coupled to the distal end of the cartridge container, provided with a removable cap received within the housing will be in optional pre-sterile or no-sterile condition. Use of such device for the prevention or treatment of ocular conditions or diseases is also disclosed.
APPARATUS FOR SUBRETINAL ADMINISTRATION OF THERAPEUTIC AGENT VIA A CURVED NEEDLE
An apparatus includes a body, a cannula, and a needle. The cannula is flexible and extends distally from the body. The needle is slidably disposed in the cannula. The needle includes a sharp distal tip and a curved portion. The needle is configured to translate relative to the cannula between a proximal position and a distal position. The distal tip is configured to be positioned inside the cannula when the needle is in the proximal position. The distal tip is configured to be positioned outside the cannula when the needle is in the distal position. The needle is resiliently biased to extend along a curve through the curved portion.
SYRINGE
This disclosure describes devices and methods used to inject or aspirate fluid into or from various regions of the human body, such as the anterior chamber of the eye. The disclosed devices and methods provide improvements over conventional devices and methods in that an operator can perform a procedure using the disclosed device without an assistant. The disclosed devices and methods allow one-handed injection or aspiration of fluid into or from body tissue, and provide means for controlling the volume of injected or aspirated fluid.
Device, Delivery System, And Method For Ocular Therapy
Devices and methods for the ab interno delivery of two or more fluid compositions into Schlemm's canal through a single insertion point in the eye with minimal trauma. The hand-held delivery device includes a handle coupled to an elongated shaft that terminates in a self-trephinating tip through which one or more cannulae are slidably disposed and can be extended or retracted therethrough. The handle further defines a chamber for receiving one or more cartridges each containing at least one fluid composition. Each cartridge is fluidly connected to a respective cannula such that sequential actuation of each cartridge causes dispensation of the fluid compositions at the site for delivery without having to repeatedly enter the target site multiple times. Ab interno methods for localized delivery of a fluid composition into Schlemm's canal are further described.
DROPLET DISPENSING DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A device for providing a droplet of a liquid stored in an interior of a vial is disclosed that includes a support body and a resilient dome portion mounted to the support body to form a chamber having air, with the dome portion being configured to create an air flow when activated by compression. The support body includes a vial seat, a nozzle, and air flow and transfer conduits. The support body is arranged, when the vial is received by the vial seat, such that the air flow conduit establishes an air connection between the vial interior and the chamber, the transfer conduit establishes a fluid connection between the vial and the nozzle, and, upon activation of the dome portion, the air flow delivers air into the vial that causes liquid to be transferred from the vial to the nozzle through the transfer conduit.
Ophthalmic drug delivery
The present invention includes and provides a method of delivering a medicament to an eye of a subject in need thereof a solution, the method comprising: (a) providing droplets containing the medicament with a specified average size and average initial ejecting velocity; and (b) delivering the medicament to the eye, where the droplets deliver a percentage of the ejected mass of the droplets to the eye.
OPHTHALMIC COMPOSITION FOR TREATMENT OF DRY EYE DISEASE
The invention provides ophthalmic compositions comprising about 0.1% (w/v) cyclosporine dissolved in 1-(perfluorobutyl)pentane for use in the topical treatment of dry eye disease and provides for treatment methods thereof. The invention further provides kits comprising such compositions.
Preloaded DMEK Holder
A Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK) holder for placement within a vial for supporting a corneal tissue inserter is provided. The DMEK holder includes a top and an opposite bottom, at least one support member extending between the top and the bottom, with a bottom portion of the at least one support member sized and shaped to fit against a bottom inner surface of the vial to thereby support the corneal tissue inserter within the vial, and a first annular member having an opening sized and shaped such that a bottom end of the corneal tissue inserter is insertable through the opening and the first annular member separates the corneal tissue inserter from an inner surface of the vial and positions the corneal tissue inserter within the vial away from inner surfaces of the vial to thereby improve retrieval of the corneal tissue inserter by a surgeon.
INTRAOCULAR IRRIGATION FLUID TEMPERATURE MODULATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
The present invention is directed to the field of ophthalmological surgery and pertains to a system to modulate the intraocular irrigation solution for the anterior and/or posterior chamber of the eye to body temperature during an ophthalmological surgery.
Lacrimal drug delivery device
A lacrimal drug delivery device includes a reservoir configured to hold a drug. The reservoir is moveable between a relaxed state and an expanded state. A connector is fluidly coupled to the reservoir and a lumen is formed in the connector wherein the drug is configured to flow from the reservoir to an delivery site through the lumen. A hydrogel is within the lumen and configured to absorb the drug from the reservoir and deliver the drug from the lumen at the delivery site. The hydrogel includes a first section which absorbs the drug at a first rate of absorption. A delivery guide is detachably coupled to the reservoir to deliver the reservoir into a lacrimal sac of a patient.
