SELF CLEANING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS FILTRATION OF HIGH VISCOSITY FLUIDS
A method of continuous filtration of contaminants from a contaminated viscous fluid, the method may include: pumping the contaminated viscous fluid between a non-perforated surface being a first cylinder and a second perforated surface being a second cylinder disposed substantially parallel to each other at a defined first gap, moving the non-perforated surface and the perforated surface with respect to each other includes one or more longitudinal fins protruding from second cylindrical body into the first gap towards the perforated surface of the first cylindrical body thereby forming a second gap between the distal tips of the fins and the perforated surface, thereby forcing movement of the contaminated viscous fluid in a direction substantially parallel to the relative speed thereby generating a shear rate in the contaminated viscous fluid near the perforated surface in the direction substantially parallel to the relative speed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMEDIATING DRILLING MUD AND TREATING DRILLING CUTTINGS
A drilling mud remediation and drilling cutting treatment device and method. There are three main components: a vacuum liquid solid separator; a pelletizer; and an induction furnace. The liquid solid separator has a seamless filter belt configured to carry a mixture of liquids and solids over a vacuum. A slurry comprised of drilling mud and cuttings is deposited on the filter belt. An applicator ensures that the slurry is deposited evenly across the entire filter belt at a uniform thickness. The vacuum removes most of the liquids for further treatment and reuse. The solids are transferred to a pelletizer which compacts them into relatively uniform pellets while removing much residual liquid. The pelletized cuttings are then passed through an induction furnace, which removes any residual liquids, renderings the cuttings safe for disposal.

APPARATUS FOR REDUCING PRESSURE FLUCTUATION
The present invention relates to a rotary pressure filter, comprising a filter housing, and a filter drum, wherein a plurality of treatment zones comprises at least a suspension insertion zone and a discharge zone, wherein the rotary pressure filter is configured such that a pressure being present in the suspension insertion zone is higher than a pressure being present in the discharge zone, and that, each time a filter cell, coming from the discharge zone and containing gas having the discharge zone's pressure, enters the suspension insertion zone, the pressure of the suspension insertion zone drops, characterized in that the rotary pressure filter further comprises equipment that is configured to reduce and/or to slow the pressure drop of the pressure in the suspension insertion zone each time a filter cell coming from the discharge zone enters the suspension insertion zone.

The filtration system having a housing having an inlet, at least one outlet being axially spaced from the inlet and forming a helical purge path therebetween, and a filtrate outlet extending out along the axis, with a flow rate ratio being balanced by flow restriction between the filtrate outlet and the at least one purge outlet during regular operation; a filter element including a filtration membrane and a support membrane mounted concentrically around the axis, at least one of said filtration membrane and support membrane being rotatably mounted to the housing for rotation about the axis to impart a relative rotation speed between the filtration membrane and support membrane during operation; the system being operable to temporarily increase the flow rate ratio through the at least one outlet compared to said regular operation.

An inner wall of the pressure filter frame is further provided with a buffer plate. A plurality of openings are provided in the buffer plate. A gap is remained between the buffer plate and the inner wall of the pressure filter frame. A plurality of supporting posts are disposed in the gap, which fixedly connect the inner wall of the pressure filter frame with the buffer plate.
