Filters for Non-Plumbed Appliances
Non-plumbed appliances and filters are provided. A filter includes a body which includes a sidewall extending along a longitudinal axis between a first end wall and a second end wall, the body defining a body interior. The filter further includes an inlet defined in the body, and a nozzle protruding from the second end wall along the longitudinal axis and defining an outlet, the nozzle offset along an outer surface of the second end wall from a centroid of the outer surface. The filter further includes a tab configured on the body, and a filter medium disposed within the body interior, the filter medium operable to remove contaminants from water flowing through the filter medium.
Methods and apparatus for separating cells from microcarriers
An apparatus for separating cells from microcarriers comprises a chamber having a body and a base. The chamber is configured to receive a mixture comprising cells and microcarriers. The apparatus further comprises a filtration element disposed within the chamber and coupled to the body. The filtration element is configured to filter microcarriers from the mixture. The apparatus further comprises an adjustment mechanism coupled to the chamber. The adjustment mechanism is configured for selective extension and retraction of at least a portion of the body of the chamber to move the filtration element relative to the base of the chamber.
SYSTEM AND METHOD HAVING FILTER DISPOSED IN FLUID SUPPLY CUP
A system is provided for a cup used to supply a liquid to a spray tool. The system may include a cup, a filter configured to mount inside of the cup, one or more supports extending across the filter, and a retainer configured to retain the filter.

LIQUID ADDITIVE SUPPLY DEVICE FOR WASHING MACHINE
A liquid additive supply device for a washing machine that can be removably accommodated in an accommodation part of a detergent dispenser. The liquid additive supply device includes a storage part for storing a liquid additive to be supplied to a detergent dispenser during a wash cycle. A filter is installed inside the storage part for filtering extraneous material.

WASHING MACHINE AND LIQUID ADDITIVE SUPPLY DEVICE FOR THE SAME
A washing machine with a liquid additive supply device capable of sensing an amount of liquid additive contained therein. A buoyancy body and a sensing unit are disposed in a reservoir tank of the liquid additive supply device. The vertical position and therefore the distance between the buoyancy body and a sensing unit vary with the surface level of liquid additive in the reservoir tank due to buoyancy effect. The buoyancy body may include a magnetic body and the sensing unit can detect the intensity of the magnetic body. The surface level of the liquid additive is too low, the sensing unit can generate a signal indicative of liquid additive shortage.

FILTER DEVICE
An outflow portion that causes a space inside a filter element to communicate with a space outside a filter case includes an upper surface and a bottom surface that are provided so as to be separated from each other. The back pressure valve includes the valve body having the substantially plate-like shape and the elastic member provided between the bottom surface and the valve body. The valve body is movable between a closed position in which the valve body is in contact with the upper surface, and an open position in which the valve body is not in contact with the upper surface. A recessed portion is provided in a surface, of the valve body, that comes into contact with the upper surface, and an outflow port is formed in a side surface or the upper surface of the outflow portion.

Microcarrier Filter Bag Assemblies and Methods of Use
A filter bag assembly includes: a flexible first sheet; a flexible second sheet overlying and secured to the first sheet so that a compartment is formed therebetween; a porous filter sheet disposed between the first sheet and the second sheet so as to divide the compartment into a first compartment and a second compartment; a first port secured to the second sheet so as to communicate directly with the first compartment; and a second port secured to the second sheet so as to communicate directly with the second compartment, the second port being spaced apart from the first port. The porous filter sheet is disposed so that fluid entering the first compartment through the first port must pass through the filter sheet before entering the second compartment or exiting through the second port.
