Apparatus for providing supplemental advanced filtration
10913019 · 2021-02-09 ·

The present invention teaches a method and apparatus to quickly and inexpensively implement advanced, bypass grade, fine, or additional filtration to engines and hydraulic systems. The present invention has the ability to make quick hydraulic connection to the engine or hydraulic system, where oil is super cleaned, without major modifications as is the paradigm by traditional bypass filtration systems and without removing any lubricant from the engine or system that the present invention is connected to, as is the paradigm of traditional bypass filtering systems. When connected to the normally provided stud for the spin-on oil filter in an engine or hydraulic system, the net effect of interest to the present invention is that by simply placing the adapter at the point of connection of the spin-on oil filter, many of the necessary plumbing associated with the traditional bypass filter installation is obviated, as is the energy and labor intensive process of seeking for a pressure point and a return of the oil. The present invention relies on the differential pressure effected by either alone or in combination of an orifice restriction to effect flow of either engine oil or hydraulic fluid, to route through a high efficiency filter, in trapping and low pressure to flow, an amount of dirty oil and then to return same amount to reconstitute a total flow on the system, whereby supplemental or advanced filtration is quickly connected to an engine or hydraulic system.

Filter system with a filter element

Purification device

A purification device comprises a main body; and a water-outlet module formed to protrude forward of the main body, wherein the water-outlet module includes a water-outlet nozzle for supplying water passing through the filter out of the main body, wherein the water-outlet module includes: a casing, wherein at least a portion of the water-outlet nozzle is mounted on a bottom of the casing so as to be exposed to an outside; a water-supply hose, wherein one end thereof is connected to an inside of the main body while the other end thereof is provided inside the casing and is connected to the water-outlet nozzle, such water from the main body is supplied to the water-outlet nozzle; and a valve provided within the casing, wherein the valve is provided above the water-discharge nozzle and is installed on the water-supply hose to control a flow of water through the water-supply hose.

Cast filter assembly-modular design

A filter assembly has a one-piece cast metal pressure vessel with an inlet port communicating only with an inlet chamber and an integral offset bulkhead forming a separate filtrate chamber on the opposite side of the bulkhead having an upper exit port and lower exit port on opposite sides of the filtrate chamber. A filter assembly is disposed through an aperture in the bulkhead with the filter inlet side communicating only with the inlet chamber and the filter outlet side communicating only with the filtrate chamber. An access opening is provided in the top of the pressure vessel with a lid for changing filters. A closure member attached over the lower exit port configures the assembly for simplex operation. Relocating the closure member to cover the upper exit port on a pair of the pressure vessels with filters therein readily configures the pair for attachment to opposite sides of a central diverter valve for duplex filtering operation without rework of either of the pair of pressure vessels.

Valve device and fuel filter module

A valve device for a fuel filter module has a first fluid channel through which fuel flows only in recirculation mode of the fuel filter module and a second fluid channel through which fuel flows only outside of the recirculation mode. The first fluid channel extends inside the second fluid channel. The first and second fluid channels are coaxial to each other. A fuel filter module switchable into recirculation mode and out of recirculation mode is provided with a control valve that has a valve bore and a valve device arranged in the valve bore, wherein the valve device has a first fluid channel through which fuel flows only in recirculation mode and a second fluid channel through which fuel flows only outside of the recirculation mode. The first fluid channel extends inside the second fluid channel, and the first and second fluid channels are coaxial to each other.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF FILTERING A REFRIGERANT FOR A FLUID INJECTION SYSTEM FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

The present invention refers to a system and a method of filtering a refrigerant for a fluid injection system of an internal combustion engine, the refrigerant being preferably water, by supplying tap water or any other source of water available in the vehicle, such as air conditioning and exhaust condensates, wherein such water must be clean, demineralized, deionized and mainly promptly available to be delivered to the water injection system at the instant the driver actuates the accelerator pedal to demand more power from the bi-fuel engine running on gasoline.

Filter assembly for improved filter cartridge placement and detection in a refrigerator appliance

A filter assembly with features for improved filter cartridge placement and detection are provided. The filter assembly includes a filter cartridge and a filter housing for receiving the filter cartridge. A contact member extends from the filter housing for engaging the filter cartridge when the filter cartridge in the installed position. A first contact is mounted to the contact member and a second contact is mounted to the filter cartridge such that the first contact and the second contact establish an electrical connection when the filter cartridge in the installed position.
