One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a vehicle fluid filter head. The filter head can be attached to two or more filters to filter vehicle fluid, and provide a variety of optional arrangements for coupling inlet and outlet hoses. A plurality of inlets and outlets can be disposed on the filter head at different sides of the filter head. A pair of filter headers can be disposed on a first side to receive filter. A first inlet and outlet can be disposed on a second side, and a second inlet and outlet can be disposed on a third side. Respective inlet are fluidly coupled with an inlet passage in the head, which is fluidly coupled with an intake portion of the filter headers. Respective outlets are fluidly coupled with an outlet passage in the head, which is fluidly coupled with an outflow portion of the filter headers.

A modular filter manifold includes one or more plates, each plate including connections for one or more filters on a first side, and connections for fluid lines on a second side opposite the first. At least two fluid line connections are provided for each filter connection, with a fluid passage through the plate for each fluid line connection. Each of the fluid passages are independent of one another. The manifold plates can be joined to a support structure to form a manifold to which filters can be attached. Piping can be connected to the fluid line connections to allow flow through the filters in series or parallel flow.

A composite filter cartridge, comprising a filter cartridge body provided with two filter devices. Each filter device is respectively provided with a support component which fixes the filter device, and the filter devices are arranged in a linear manner and fixed with respect to one another. Each filter device is respectively provided with an independent housing, a filter module and a filter water channel, the filter module and the filter water channel being arranged within the housing, the filter water channel sequentially comprising a water inlet cavity and a water outlet cavity, the water inlet cavity and the water outlet cavity being connected via the corresponding filter module.

Each manifold head is connected to one another to establish a water flow in a series or parallel manner. Each filter cartridge assembly is releasably secured from rotation relative to the manifold head by a locking mechanism. An aperture on the filter cartridge assembly annular collar mates with a protruding resilient extension on either the manifold head or support bracket. Alternatively, an aperture on the filter cartridge assembly annular collar and an aperture on the manifold head annular collar mate with a protruding member from a locking ring extending through both apertures. An integrated sensor package may be integrated with the system for true managed water visible/audible indications and Wi-Fi interface to facilitate virtually instantaneous response times for filtration needs.

A connector assembly for fluid filter elements is provided comprising first and second connector elements each comprising at least two connector snap arches, each of the connector snap arches including a snap tooth lock; and at least two connector snap arms, each of the connector snap arms including a snap tooth; each connector element having a central opening, and an annular channel for receiving an end of a hollow cylindrical filter element; a gasket arranged between the first connector element and the second connector element, the gasket having a central opening; wherein the first connector element and the second connector element are lockably engageable with each other when placed in contact with each other and axial force is applied such that respective connector snap tooth is retained in each respective connector snap tooth.

In one aspect, a modular filter assembly for filtering fluid that flows in a flow direction therethrough is disclosed. The assembly includes a first housing section having a first filter element; a second housing section having a second filter element; and a connector disposed between the first and second housing sections. A housing includes the first housing section, the connector, and the second housing section. The flow direction is through the first and second filter elements in series.

A manifold for domestic water purification systems having flow paths that can be redirected without having to change the physical structure of the manifold or water purification systema structure to assist with proper installation of specific filter cartridges, a memory reader for processing data relating to the state of the filter cartridges, a hinge system to allow for easier installation/removal of new and replacement filter cartridges, and a flow path structure to assist in adding accessories to the water filtration system without requiring a modification to the manifold structure.
