Filter element and filter assembly for separating fluids
A filter element may include a first end cap including an end cap barrier including an inner end cap aperture and end cap flow passages configured to provide flow communication between the of interior the filter element and the exterior of the filter element. The filter element may also include a first tubular member having a first end coupled to the first end cap to provide flow communication between the inner end cap aperture and a second end of the first tubular member. The filter element may further include first filter media extending around the first tubular member, an intermediate barrier coupled to a second end of the first tubular member, and second filter media having different filtering characteristics than the first filter media. One of the first filter media and the second filter media may include a coalescing-type media configured to promote separation of a first fluid from a second fluid.
Water discharge system and method
A fuel filtration system configured to separate water from fuel is described. The system includes a housing having an inlet for receiving fuel to be filtered, an outlet for supplying filtered fuel to a device, and an internal compartment having a drain. A filter media is positioned within the internal compartment of the housing, the filter media configured to separate the water from the fuel, the separated water routed out of the internal compartment through the drain. A solenoid valve is configured to provide both the separated water and fuel to an exhaust after-treatment device in fluid communication with the fuel filtration system.
VEHICLE WATER COLLECTION SYSTEM
A vehicle includes a water collection system including a deployable channel movable between a stowed position and a deployed position for capturing water, a filter for filtering the water collected by the deployable channel, and a tank for storing the water filtered by the filter.
Liquid Filter Insert and Liquid Filter with Corrosion Protection for External Pumps
A liquid filter insert for a liquid filter has a prefilter element and a main filter element connected to the prefilter element. Prefilter element and main filter element are arranged on top of each other in an axial direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the liquid filter insert. A connection provides a flow path for liquid to flow from the prefilter element to the main filter element. The prefilter element is provided with a water separation unit and is further provided with a filter medium. The water separation unit is arranged between the filter medium of the prefilter element and the connection such that the liquid, after passing through the filter medium, flows through the water separation unit into the connection. The water separation unit has a water discharge channel for water separated from the liquid that extends axially at least partially through the main filter element.
Air Venting Device for a Filter
An air venting device for a filter includes a flow path, a frame, a flexible element, a movable element, and a slab. The flow path includes a first flow path end and an opposite second flow path end, and is adapted to allow a fluid to flow through the air venting device. The frame is located in the second end of the flow path. The flexible element and the movable element are located in the frame in a manner such that one end of the flexible element is attached to the first end of the frame and second end of the flexible element is attached to the movable element. The slab is located in the second end of the frame in a manner such that the movable element abuts the slab.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR HARMLESS TREATMENT AND REGENERATION OF WASTE LIQUID DISCHARGE DURING WATER GLASS MOLD SHELL HARDENED WITH AMMONIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION
A harmless treatment and regeneration device and method thereof of waste liquid discharge from failed hardener solution during hardening of water glass mold shell via ammonium chloride solution are provided. The device includes a waste liquid storage tank, a filtering mechanism, a regeneration mechanism, and a regeneration liquid storage tank. A fluid outlet end of the waste liquid storage tank is in fluid communication with a fluid inlet end of the filtering mechanism, a fluid outlet end of the filtering mechanism is in fluid communication with a fluid inlet end of the regeneration mechanism, and a fluid outlet end of the regeneration mechanism is in fluid communication with a fluid inlet end of the regeneration liquid storage tank.
WASTE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A human waste processing system adapted to process both human solid and liquid waste deposited into a toilet or similar vessel and to process the waste for further use and/or convenient disposal. The present system is specifically configured for use with low-water-volume flush toilets and dry toilets. In particular, the present system is configured to separate solid waste and liquid waste with liquid waste being processed via a plurality of sequential filtration stages and with the solid waste being processed by thermal decomposition such as pyrolysis/torrefaction processing.

DIESEL FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY
A filtration assembly filters diesel fuel used by a diesel engine and includes a filter element disposed within a housing. The housing includes an unfiltered fuel inlet and a filtered fuel outlet. The filter element disposed within the housing receives fuel from the fuel inlet. The filter element defines a peripheral wall sealably engaging filter media defining an unfiltered side and a filtered side of the filter element. The unfiltered side is enclosed with an impermeable barrier affixed to the peripheral wall and the filtered side is enclosed with a permeable water diffuser through which filtered fuel passes. A water separator assembly is disposed externally to the filter element receiving filtered fuel from the water diffuser. The water separator assembly includes water separator media preventing water from passing into the separator. The separator assembly interconnects to the filtered fuel outlet providing filtered, dewatered diesel fuel to the diesel engine.
