ECO-FRIENDLY SMART BLOOD MODULATION DEVICE
A blood processing apparatus including a blood supply unit, a centrifuge, a light irradiation unit, a filtering device, and a blood collection unit, which is characterized in that blood is introduced into the centrifuge and centrifuged, the centrifuged blood is passed through a transparent tube provided in the light irradiation unit while being irradiated with light applied, from the outside of the transparent tube, by a light irradiation device configured to include an infrared lamp with a wavelength of 830±5 nm, a red light-emitting diode (LED) lamp with a wavelength of 635±6 nm, a blue LED lamp with a wavelength of 420±5 nm, a green LED lamp with a wavelength of 530±5 nm, a yellow LED lamp with a wavelength of 585±5 nm, and ultraviolet (UV) lamps, and the blood irradiated with the light is filtered using the filtering device and collected in the blood collection unit.
System for separating solids from a fluid stream
A system for separating solids from a fluid includes a containment vessel having a V-shaped tank in fluid communication with an agitated overflow tank. Baffles within the V-shaped tank provide a series of zones where the fluid is deposited for processing. A shaftless auger at the bottom of the V-shaped tank transfers solids to an area where they are pumped to a first hydrocyclone assembly associated with a first shaker. Overflow from the hydrocyclone assembly and underflow from the first shaker is further processed by a second hydrocyclone assembly associated with a second shaker. Overflow from the second hydrocyclone assembly and underflow from the second shaker are deposited into overflow tank which contains the cleaned fluid.
Intermediate cover of a filter housing of a filter for purifying liquid fluids and filter insert, filter and use
An intermediate cover of a filter housing of a filter for purifying liquids can be mounted in the filter housing for separating a filter receiving space for a filter insert from a centrifuge receiving space for a centrifuge separator by a rotary and/or insertion movement relative to an imaginary axis. The intermediate cover is provided with a portion of at least one clean fluid channel forming a fluidic connection between a clean fluid side of the filter insert and a fluid outlet of the filter housing for a purified clean fluid. The filter insert has a connecting device arranged at an axial end face and connectable to the intermediate cover. An outlet opening for purified clean fluid is arranged at the axial end face and corresponds with an inlet opening of the clean fluid channel of the intermediate cover. The outlet opening at least partially forms the connecting device.
Systems and Methods to Recover Value-Added Materials from Gypsum
Disclosed herein are systems and methods from processing flue gas desulfurization (FGD) gypsum feedstock and ash feedstocks, either separately or together. FGD gypsum conversion comprises reacting FGD gypsum (calcium sulfate) feedstock or phosphogypsum, in either batch or continuous mode, with ammonium carbonate reagent to produce commercial products comprising ammonium sulfate and calcium carbonate. A process to separate the impurities and convert the calcium carbonate to a pure precipitated calcium carbonate is disclosed. These impurities include a concentrate of valuable Rare Earth Elements, and radioactive thorium and uranium. A process to convert calcium sulfite to calcium sulfate using oxygen and a catalyst is also disclosed. Ash conversion comprises a leach process followed by a sequential precipitation process to selectively precipitate products at predetermined pHs resulting in metal hydroxides which may be converted to oxides or carbonates. The processes may be controlled by use of one or more processors.
Protein concentration methods
Aspects of the present disclosure include methods for fractionating whole stillage using one or more hydrocyclones and optional screening device. Aspects of the present disclosure include a stillage fractionation and/or clarification system for carrying out the methods described herein.
Pigment for paper and coatings
Provided is a kaolin having a finer particle size and a narrower particle size distribution, in combination with suitable morphology. Also provided are a method of preparing the kaolin product and methods of use.
RECOVERY SYSTEM OF COMPOSITE POWDER CARRIER IN HPB MUNICIPAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT
A recovery system of composite powder carrier in HPB municipal wastewater treatment includes a biochemical tank and a concentration tank. The composite powder carrier is added to the biochemical tank for biochemically treating on the wastewater. The mixed liquid is then made to flow into the concentration tank. The supernatant obtained after filtration is then discharged. The concentrated sludge is returned to the biochemical tank, and the excess concentrated sludge is transported to a separator. The separator separates the substances with large specific gravity from those having smaller specific gravity, and the substances with large specific gravity are recycled to the biochemical tank for reuse. Matter having smaller specific gravity is discharged. The separator can be used to separate the composite powder carriers for recycling, which improves the utilization rate of the composite powder carriers and reduces the operation cost of the HPB technology for wastewater treatment.
