A filter includes a fibrous web or sheet comprising fire-resistant fibers, the fire-resistant fibers comprising oxidized polyacrylonitrile (OPAN), flame-retardant (FR) rayon, or a combination thereof.
Disinfectant composition for textile and related substrates, and method of treating a substrate to provide disinfecting antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal, wash durable, optionally enhanced with multifunctional properties
The present technology provides a disinfectant textile composition having antimicrobial, wash durable, optionally enhanced with multifunctional properties. The technology also provides a method of treating a textile substrate. The method comprises applying a disinfecting treating composition using one or more of an exhaust, padding, coating or spraying process. The treating composition comprises an antifungal agent and further comprises a cross-linking agent. The method also comprises drying the textile substrate using a heat setting process.
GRAPHENE FOAM-BASED ANTIVIRAL FILTRATION ELEMENT AND FILTRATION DEVICES CONTAINING SAME
Provided is an face mask comprising: (a) a mask body configured to cover at least wearer's mouth and nose; and (b) a fastener to hold the mask in place on the wearer; wherein the mask body includes (i) an air-permeable outer layer preferably comprising a hydrophobic material (e.g. water-repelling fibers), (ii) an inner layer located on a wearer's side when the mask is worn, and (iii) a graphene foam layer disposed in the mask body between the outer layer and the inner layer or embedded (totally or partially) in the outer layer or the inner layer. The foam pore wall graphene surfaces may be deposited with an antiviral or anti-bacteria compound.
ANTIVIRAL FILTRATION ELEMENT AND FILTRATION DEVICES CONTAINING SAME
Provided is an face mask comprising: (a) a mask body configured to cover at least wearer's mouth and nose; and (b) a fastener to hold the mask in place on the wearer; wherein the mask body includes (i) an air-permeable outer layer preferably comprising a hydrophobic material (e.g. water-repelling fibers), (ii) an inner layer located on a wearer's side when the mask is worn, and (iii) a graphene layer disposed in the mask body, wherein the graphene layer comprises a plurality of discrete single-layer or few-layer graphene sheets selected from pristine graphene, graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, graphene fluoride, graphene chloride, graphene bromide, graphene iodide, hydrogenated graphene, nitrogenated graphene, doped graphene, chemically functionalized graphene, or a combination thereof. The graphene layer may be disposed between the outer layer and the inner layer or embedded (totally or partially) in the outer layer or the inner layer.
Anti-Corrosion Fluid Filter System
An apparatus, method, and system for fluid filtration utilizing a metal alloy core comprised of zinc, nickel, tin, lead, silver, iron, and a remainder of copper. The shapes and sizes of the metal alloy can comprise rods, balls, shavings, tubes, or shot. These shapes and sizes of the metal alloy can then be placed within the various vessels used in the oil and natural gas industries.
FILTER MEDIUM COMPRISING A REINFORCED NON-WOVEN FABRIC
The invention relates to a filter medium comprising a reinforced non-woven fabric, to a method for the production thereof, and to the use thereof.
Photocatalytic filter and photocatalytic device
A photocatalytic filter may include: a plurality of weft threads each of which includes a plurality of fibers extending in a first direction; a plurality of warp threads each of which includes a plurality of fibers extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction; and photocatalysts which are carried by the plurality of weft threads and the plurality of warp threads. At least two warp threads sandwiches at least one weft thread or at least two weft threads sandwiches at least one warp thread at the intersection portion between the weft thread and the warp thread.
Inlet Filter and Method of Use
An inlet filter and method of use are disclosed. In one aspect, the inlet filter comprises a frame, filter material, a feed stream inlet, and a filtrate outlet. The frame is configured so an exterior of the frame is shaped like a wedge. In another aspect, the method comprises inserting an inlet filter into a storm sewer inlet. The inlet filter can be one of a plurality of inlet filters inserted into the storm sewer inlet, the filters cooperating to filter a feed stream entering the storm sewer inlet. In a third aspect, a system comprises a plurality of inlet filters configured to be coupled together to filter a feed stream to a storm sewer inlet. The system can be configured so that the width of the plurality of filters is adjustable. For example, a first inlet filter and second inlet filter can be slidably engaged with a connecting filter.
Inlet Filter and Method of Use
An inlet filter and method of use are disclosed. In one aspect, the inlet filter comprises a frame, filter material, a feed stream inlet, and a filtrate outlet. The frame is configured so an exterior of the frame is shaped like a wedge. The frame comprises a thick portion and a narrow portion opposite the thick portion. The thick portion of the frame comprises the feed stream inlet. The filter material is positioned along a bottom surface of the frame and a portion of an upper surface of the frame that is opposite the feed stream inlet in the narrow portion of the frame. In another aspect, the method comprises inserting an inlet filter into a storm sewer inlet. The inlet filter can be one of a plurality of inlet filters inserted into the storm sewer inlet, the filters cooperating to filter a feed stream entering the storm sewer inlet.
FILTER BAGS COMPRISING A POROUS MEMBRANE
A filter bag is disclosed that comprises a porous membrane having a strength in the transverse direction to improve durability. There is a filter assembly for filtering particulates from a gas stream comprising a support substructure and a filter bag at least partially surrounding the support substructure. The filter bag comprises a porous membrane having a upstream surface exposed to the gas stream. The porous membrane is lightweight and has a structure to collect the particulates on the upstream surface. In particular, the porous membrane has a bubble point of 0.06 MPa or more and has a strength in a transverse direction that is 100 N/m or more. Other filter bags disclosed comprise a laminate comprising a porous membrane having a bubble point of 0.06 MPa or more and a second layer that acts as a sacrificial material.
