20230131013 · 2023-04-27 ·

New forms of weighted and cooling sleep masks, and methods for their manufacturing and use, are provided. In some embodiments, a weighted sleep mask includes a plurality of interior chambers, loaded with cooling pieces, in unique arrangements. Such cooling pieces include material(s) with a relatively high density and cooling capacity, including materials with relatively high specific heat, such as stone or recycled glass. The cooling pieces may be at least partially enveloped with an insulating material. The plurality of interior chambers may be positioned in an array to cover, cool and press against and cool particular regions of the face, such as pressure points, and the eyes. A plurality of channels may run between the plurality of chambers, permitting the mask to conform with and exhaust heat and vapor at or about other areas of the face.

Weighted sleep mask

A sleep mask is created comprising a sleep mask cover that can accommodate a weighted mask component and a thermal mask component. The sleep mask cover may include a fastening mechanism at the opening which may be removably engaged or disengaged to disable or enable, respectively, access to the opening for insertion of the weighted mask component and the thermal mask component. The weighted mask component may include a set of eye panels that are devoid of weight material to prevent unwanted pressure on a human user's eyes when the sleep mask is worn around the head of a human user. Further, the weighted mask component may include a pocket for insertion of the thermal mask component.

Light diffusers for smart relaxation masks

A relaxation mask includes: a main body that defines a pair of eye cavities; and a light diffuser. The light diffuser includes a first lens that is disposed within a first one of the eye cavities. A first ledge is disposed along a top edge of the first lens and extends outwardly therefrom. A first light emitting component is supported on the first ledge and is configured to fire downward into the first lens.

PERSONAL PROTECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD

A protective headgear system includes a support configured to engage the head of a user, a facial shield having an upper portion coupled to the support and a lower portion having a lower extremity, a flexible sheet coupled to the facial shield, a base carried by the support, a first microphone carried below the lower extremity of the facial shield and preferentially oriented away from the user, a second microphone carried by the base and preferentially oriented toward the user, a first audio generator capable of being sensed by at least one ear of the user, and a second audio generator including a loudspeaker carried by the base such that the loudspeaker is located below the lower extremity of the facial shield and is oriented for preferential sound energy delivery generally away from the user.

An eye mask for sleeping has a headband and two eyecups. The headband comprises an inner surface and an outer surface. The two eyecups are configured to cover two eyes respectively. Each eyecup has an adhering surface, a contact surface, and multiple first passages. The adhering surface is securely mounted on the inner surface of the headband. The contact surface is configured to cover one of the eyes of the user. The first passages are formed through each eyecup and extend from the adhering surface to the contact surface. With the eyecups mounted on the headband and configured to cover the eyes of the user, because the first passages are formed through the eyecups, heat and moisture can be dissipated and drained via the first passages.
