Cartridges, components, features and methods are described.

Thermoplastic compositions, methods, apparatus, and uses

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compositions, methods for producing TPU compositions, methods of using TPU compositions, and apparatuses produced therefrom are disclosed. Disclosed TPU compositions include a thermoplastic polyurethane polymer, a heat stabilizer, a flow agent, and a filler material. The filler may be a glass fiber. Disclosed TPU compositions have improved thermal stability and improved flow properties suitable for injection molding of articles of manufacture having a large plurality of fine openings or pores. Articles produced from the composition have superior thermal stability, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance. Example articles include screening members for vibratory screening machines. Further embodiments include compositions without heat stabilizers, flow agents, and filler materials, and compositions in which two TPU materials having different harnesses are combined to generate a material with a pre-determined hardness. Injection molded screen elements having openings from 25 to 150 microns and open screening area from 10% to 35% are disclosed.

HYDROPHOBIC MEDIA FOR THE COLLECTION OF MINERAL PARTICLES IN AQUEOUS SYSTEMS

A composite medium for collecting mineral particles in an aqueous slurry has a polymer substrate deposited or penetrated with an inorganic material and further coated with a hydrophobic material. The hydrophobic material can be a hydrophobic silane or a hydrophobic polymer such as polysiloxane. Alternatively, the inorganic material deposited substrate is first reacted with a reactive silane and then coated with a hydrophobic polymer. The polymer substrate can be in the form of a spherical bead, a small cube, a filter or a conveyor.

NANOFIBER FOR AIR FILTER COMPRISING RANDOM COPOLYMER HAVING ZWITTERIONIC FUNCTIONAL GROUP AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

A nanofiber for an air filter and a method for manufacturing the same are proposed. The nanofiber may include a styrene-(meth)acrylate-acrylonitrile random copolymer having a zwitterionic functional group in a side chain. The nanofiber can greatly enhance the bonding of particulate matter (PM) particles with the surface of a polymer by having a high dipole moment derived from the zwitterionic functional group, thereby providing high efficiency of filtration (>99.9%) of the PM particles. Furthermore, the nanofiber can be very usefully used as a core material for air purifier filters and vehicle air purification filters by having low airflow resistance and excellent antibacterial properties.

INTEGRATED FILTER MATERIAL AND PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF

An integrated filter material, a preparation method and an application. The filter material is composed of a commercial dust removal filter material and a catalyst that is grown on the filter material and that has a function of simultaneously decomposing nitrogen oxides and dioxins. In the preparation method, a precursor solution of manganese and cerium oxides is impregnated on the filter material, and manganese and cerium oxides are grown on the filter material by means of a chemical reaction; and vanadium oxychloride is used as a precursor of vanadium oxide and is impregnated on the filter material, reacts in water, and prepared by drying, hydrothermal and other processes. The composite filter material may remove three kinds of pollutants in flue gas at the same time, and the catalyst is firmly loaded and does not easily fall off.

ARTICLES COMPRISING BINDERS, CROSS-LINKING AGENTS AND/OR OTHER COMPONENTS, AND RELATED METHODS

Articles comprising binders, cross-linking agents and/or other components, and related methods are generally disclosed.

Dual density nanofiber media

The present invention generally relates to a dual density air filtration media that comprises a plurality of nanofibers layers formed from nanofibers having different fiber diameters. Due to the presence of these multiple nanofiber layers with different nanofiber diameters, the resulting filtration media of the present invention comprises a gradient density. In particular, the present invention uses a novel combination of two or more layers of nanofibers made via an electrospinning process, wherein the nanofiber layers made up from different fiber sizes are strategically applied to a cellulose or synthetic base material or substrate, to thereby maximize the filtration efficiency and dust holding capacity of the resulting filtration media.
