FILTER MEDIA, FILTER CARTRIDGE CONTAINING FILTER MEDIA, AND METHOD OF FILTERING WATER
A filter medium for removing contaminants from water includes a matrix including a plurality of fibers having an electrostatic charge such that the matrix is configured to remove contaminants from water by electrostatic attraction. The filter medium further includes a filler material including a ceramic substrate containing a mineral. The filler material is embedded in the matrix. When water flows through the filter medium, the mineral at least partially dissolves in the water such that a cavity is formed in the matrix in a location of the at least partially dissolved mineral.
Scavenged pre-chamber using oxygen generated by a molecular sieve process
A method includes providing an internal combustion engine having a combustion chamber, a piston movably disposed in the combustion chamber, and a prechamber connected to the combustion chamber via a flow port. The method further includes forcing a gas mixture from the combustion chamber through a zeolite material to the prechamber using a compression stroke of the piston, where the zeolite material filters the gas mixture to provide an oxygen rich gas into the prechamber.

Extraction hood
An extraction hood includes a casing having one or more suction openings or mouths and a connection system to an outlet duct for the removal of the drawn air filter. Inside the casing there are one or more filters and one or more UV lamps designed to be used for disinfection, for the abatement of smells and greases, and for self-cleaning purposes.
SMOKE AND DUST TREATMENT APPARATUS FOR WELDING
A smoke and dust treatment apparatus for welding, said apparatus comprising a polishing and dust extraction module and a smoke and dust purification module. The polishing and dust extraction module comprises a double-layer dust extraction cover (3), a protective cover (2), an industrial brush (4), a first air guide portion, a second air guide portion (24) and a drive motor (22), the drive motor (22) driving the industrial brush (4) to rotate at high speed to perform polishing. During welding and polishing, a mechanical arm (6) drives the double-layer dust extraction cover (3), and a suction hole (20) of the double-layer dust extraction cover (3) and a suction guide hole (19) on the industrial brush (4) simultaneously take in toxic gas and debris such as iron filings.
CHANNELIZED METAL SUBSTRATE TO ENHANCE INACTIVATION OF MICROBES
The present disclosure is related to surfaces having various topographical features and methods of making same. The disclosed features, created on various polycrystalline metallic substrates, may aid in effectively and rapidly reducing or eliminating detrimental effects of microbes. In some embodiments, the surface features may include channels and combinations of angular features such as ledges, ridges, and nodules, which may help adsorption of microbes to the surface, increase the surface chemical activity, and increase the effective surface area to support and/or accelerate the killing or deactivation of microbes. Some embodiments including reducing radii of curvature on channel ledges, intra-grain angular ridges, and angular nodules to accelerate disruption of microbial outer membranes by charge concentration and charge transfer. Also described are methods of producing the disclosed topographical surface features at low cost on various polycrystalline solid metal surfaces, for example cast, forged, rolled, drawn, wrought, deposited or coated.
PASTE FOR CERAMIC 3D SHAPING AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THREE-DIMENSIONAL SHAPED OBJECT
A paste for ceramic 3D shaping according to the present invention is a paste for ceramic 3D shaping containing a curable resin and inorganic particles, in which the inorganic particles contain ceramic particles and glass particles.
PROCESS FOR THE REMOVAL OF PARTICULATE MATTER FROM AN AQUEOUS STREAM
Process for the removal of particulate matter from an aqueous stream containing a concentrated acid, preferably concentrated sulfuric acid, the process including mechanical filtration by passing the aqueous stream through a filter unit, the filter unit including a metallic, ceramic or polymeric filter, or a filter including a filter aid on a septum. The aqueous stream is the exit stream of a sulfuric acid condenser, optionally the exit stream of a sulfuric acid concentrator arranged downstream the sulfuric acid condenser.
ROTARY INTERFACE FOR FLUID ASSEMBLIES AND RELATED METHODS OF FABRICATION AND USE
The present disclosure provides advantageous rotary interfaces for fluid assemblies (e.g., rotary interfaces for fluid flow in bioreactor applications), and related methods of fabrication and use. More particularly, the present disclosure provides improved rotary interfaces for fluid flow through porous impellers for filtration and/or sparging for fluid assemblies (e.g., bioreactor applications), and related methods of fabrication and use. Disclosed herein is a fluid assembly (e.g., bioreactor) that includes a porous impeller which is in fluid communication with a hollow shaft that can be used to transport a reaction fluid to an external storage tank or the like. The fluid assembly/bioreactor can include a coupling mechanism that transmits rotary motion from a motor to a primary shaft and then to a hollow secondary shaft, while at the same time permitting removal of a filtrate from the fluid assembly or bioreactor via the hollow secondary shaft and a porous impeller.
Ma-M2T spinel solid solution enhanced magnesium oxide-based ceramic foam filter and preparation method therefor
An MA-M.sub.2T spinel solid solution-reinforced magnesium oxide-based ceramic foam filter and a preparation therefor. The preparation method comprising: 1) preparing a ceramic slurry having a solid content of 60%-70% by dosing 15%-25% by mass of a nanometer alumina sol, 0.8%-1.5% by mass of a rheological agent, and the balance magnesium oxide ceramic powder comprising a nanometer titanium oxide sintering aid, and then adding deionized water and ball milling to mix until uniform, and then vacuum degassing the mixture; 2) soaking a polyurethane foam plastic template into the ceramic slurry, squeezing by a roller press the polyurethane foam plastic template to remove redundant slurry therein to make a biscuit, and drying the biscuit by heating it to 80° C.-120° C.; 3) putting the dried biscuit into a sintering furnace, elevating the temperature to 1400° C.-1600° C. and performing a high temperature sintering, cooling to the room temperature with the furnace to obtain the magnesium oxide-based ceramic foam filter.
