A surface cleaning apparatus comprises a hand vacuum cleaner, a surface cleaning head and a rigid air flow conduit extending between the surface cleaning head and the hand vacuum cleaner. The hand vacuum cleaner comprises a main body and a removably mounted air treatment member. The air treatment member has an air inlet and the outlet end of the rigid air flow conduit is removably connectable in air flow communication with the air inlet.

A separating disc adapted to be included in a disc package of a centrifuge rotor of a centrifugal separator adapted for separation of components in a supplied medium. The separating disc extends around an axis of rotation and has a tapering shape along the axis of rotation. A filter for an internal combustion engine includes an oil filter and a separator. The oil filter has a rotor that rotates about an axis in response to oil that is discharged from the rotor. The separator has a spindle that is detachably coupled to the rotor. A plurality of discs are mounted to the spindle, which is rotated about the axis by the rotation of the filter. The rotate of the spindle rotates the discs, which separates oil from gasses introduced into the separator.

The application relates according to one embodiment to an air filter for grease filtering. The filter includes a filter mounting element for installing the filter in connection with an intake opening of an air ventilation duct, at least one mechanical separation element for separating solid impurities from flowing air, and a UV source mounting element capable of being fitted with a UV source for generating UV light. The UV light and a catalyst coating present inside the filter are adapted to transform the physical state of grease flowing into the ventilation duct along with the airflow.

The application relates according to one embodiment to an air filter for grease filtering. The filter includes a filter mounting element for installing the filter in connection with an intake opening of an air ventilation duct, at least one mechanical separation element for separating solid impurities from flowing air, and a UV source mounting element capable of being fitted with a UV source for generating UV light. The UV light and a catalyst coating present inside the filter are adapted to transform the physical state of grease flowing into the ventilation duct along with the airflow.

A vacuum cleaner, including a cleaner body; and a dust collector provided in the cleaner body, wherein the dust collector includes a first cyclone provided within an outer case to filter foreign matter and dust from air introduced into the dust collector; a second cyclone accommodated within the first cyclone to separate fine dust from the air introduced into the first cyclone; and a rotatable shell provided at a lower side of the first cyclone so as to define a first storage section configured to collect foreign matter and dust filtered by the first cyclone between the rotatable shell and the outer case, and wherein the rotatable shell includes a skirt that extends downward and outward from an upper portion of the rotatable shell.
