Various embodiments provide for a filter assembly. The filter assembly includes a filter housing, a filter element, and a cover. The filter housing has a first housing end and a second housing end that define an internal cavity. The filter housing has a housing seal member formed on the second housing end. The filter element is disposed in the internal cavity. The filter element includes a filter media, an endplate, and a filter seal member. The filter media has a first media end and a second media end. The endplate is disposed at the first media end. The filter seal member is formed on the endplate. The filter seal member includes an inner seal portion and an outer seal portion. The filter seal member is configured to engage the housing seal member. The cover secures the engagement of the housing seal member and the filter seal member.

The present invention relates to filter housing (12) of a filter (10) for a fluid and a filter (10). The filter housing (12) comprises a housing body (24), which is comprising at least one openable installation opening and at least one housing cover (26), which is configured to close off the at least one openable installation opening, and at least one fastening and/or locking device (186), which is configured to secure the at least one housing cover (26) in its closed position in the housing body (24). The housing body (24) comprises an element receptacle configured to receive, through the at least one openable installation opening at least one filter element. At least one fastening and/or locking device (186) has at least one U-shaped bracket element (188), whose arm sections (206) are connected to a cross beam (192), and at least one eccentric element (187) which is mounted rotatable with respect to a rotation axis (190) on the cross beam (192). The at least one bracket element (188) can pivot with respect to a bracket pivot axis (196) such, that the cross beam with the at least one eccentric element (187) is pivotable on the side of the housing body (24) with the at least one installation opening. In a closed position the at least one eccentric element (187) is engaged with the at least one housing cover (26) and the at least one bracket element (188) grips around the housing cover (26) such, that a part of the housing cover (26) is located between the arm sections (206) of the bracket element (188).

A filter housing includes a container with a surrounding wall defining an open interior volume; the container having an access opening in communication with the interior volume;) a filter element in the interior volume; the filter element having an inlet face and outlet face and oriented for filtering gas by gas flow through the inlet face and out through the outlet face; a lid removably mounted on the container to cover the access opening; and a gas inlet and gas outlet in at least one of the container and lid; the gas inlet and gas outlet being co- planar. The gas inlet and the filter element are arranged such that inlet gas turns at least 90° to flow from the gas inlet to the inlet face of the filter element.

A filter housing includes a container holding a filter element for filtering gas in the container. A lid is removably mounted on the container. A seal arrangement is between the lid and container to form a releasable seal. The seal arrangement has a container gasket and a lid gasket which are offset from each other. They can include rigid projections that are pressed into the opposing gasket.

The disclosure concerns air cleaners. Preferred air cleaners are shown which include a housing and a removable and replacement primary filter cartridge. Optional and advantageous features are shown. The preferred primary filter cartridge is conical in shape. A preferred optional safety or secondary filter cartridge is shown. Preferred methods of assembly and use are provided.

Port protection device particularly suited for an encapsulated filter unit. In certain embodiments, the protection device comprises a main body defining an internal region configured to receive a port or the like protruding from an encapsulated filter. In certain embodiments, the main body includes a slot that allows for easy removal of the protection device from the port or the like. A tube management system may be provided to receive and hold tubing. One suitable tube management system includes two spaced tangs that extend from the main body of the protection device and are configured to cooperatively receive and hold tubing between them.

The inlet housing has an inflow opening for introducing a fluid to be purified into the filter housing. The inlet housing has an overflow opening at an outlet of the inlet housing, wherein the overflow opening conveys the fluid to be purified to the filter element. The inlet housing has an inlet channel disposed between the inflow opening and the overflow opening. The inlet channel has an intermediately positioned channel section located between the inflow opening and the overflow opening, wherein a cross-sectional shape of the intermediately positioned channel section differs from a cross-sectional shape of the inflow opening and from a cross-sectional shape of the overflow opening.

An air cleaner assembly includes a filter housing extending axially along a longitudinal axis and a cover. The filter housing includes at least one sidewall (e.g., an annular sidewall) extending between a first housing end and a second housing end and a retainer formed proximate at least one of the first housing end and the second housing end. The cover is removably coupled to at least one of the first housing end and the second housing. The cover includes a handle assembly having a latch configured to releasably engage the retainer of the filter housing. The filter element includes filter media and is axially insertable into the filter housing when the cover is removed from the filter housing.

An air purifier includes a filter, a fan to suction air through the filter, a first case configured to cover the filter and the fan, and a second case overlapping with the first case. The first and second cases may be moveable in a vertical direction such that the second case may be raised to lengthen the air purifier and the first case may be raised to expose the filter for replacement. The second case may be provided outside of the first case and have a side discharge grill and a top discharge grill, which may each be selectively opened and closed.
