FUEL FILTER CARTRIDGE WITH KEYED PROFILE
A filtration system comprises a filter head assembly comprising an outlet slot, valve element, and latch element. The valve element is in fluid communication with the outlet slot and includes an open position and a closed position. In the open position fluid flow travels through the outlet slot. In the closed position fluid flow is prevented through the outlet slot. The latch element is configured to lock the valve element in the closed position. The filtration further comprises a filter cartridge structured to engage the filter head assembly. The filter cartridge comprises a first and second filter end. The filter cartridge comprises filter media and a keyed element disposed on the first filter end. The keyed element is structured for engagement of the latch element, wherein the engagement unlocks the valve element causing the valve element to be in the open position.
FILTER ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR SERVICING A FILTER SYSTEM
A filter element for filtering a fluid comprising a filter medium pack having an axial inlet side for receiving the unfiltered fluid and a circumferential side forming a radial boundary of the filter medium pack. The filter medium pack is configured for insertion into a housing of a filter system so as to enclose or partly enclose the circumferential side of the filter medium pack with an outer sidewall of the housing. The filter element comprises a bridge seal arrangement having a first collar-shaped portion comprising a first circumferential sealing surface sealingly coupled to the circumferential side of the filter medium pack or sealingly coupled to a border of the axial inlet side, and a second collar-shaped portion comprising a second circumferential sealing surface configured for encircling and sealingly cooperating with the outer sidewall of the housing.
Housing Main Part of a Filter Housing, Filter System, and Pre-Separator Module of a Filter System
A housing main part of a filter housing has an element receiving space and an adapter chamber. A filter element is inserted into or removed from the element receiving space through a lateral mounting opening. A pre-separator module and the filter element are arranged behind each other along the main flow axis of the fluid to separate an outlet from an inlet of the filter housing. The adapter chamber accommodates the pre-separator module and/or the filter element. The adapter chamber is arranged at an axial end face of the housing main part and is open axially toward the element receiving space and, axially opposed thereto, toward the environment. The mounting opening is surrounded by a cover receiving rim that extends across the adapter chamber. A part of a connecting device within the housing main part is used to attach the pre-separator module to the housing main part.
Assemblies; components and filter features thereof; and, methods of use and assembly
An air cleaner assembly is disclosed, along with related methods. In one aspect, the air cleaner assembly has a housing including a housing body and a removable cover that together define an interior volume for holding a filter cartridge. The housing body can include a first plurality of lugs, wherein each of the first plurality of lugs has a first engagement surface disposed at a first angle that is oblique to a rotational plane of the cover. A second plurality of lugs can be provided on the cover, wherein each of the second plurality of lugs has a second engagement surface disposed at the first angle. A lock mechanism can also be provided that is disposed on the cover, wherein the lock mechanism includes a lock member axially movable between a locked position and an unlocked position to selectively secure the cover to the housing body.
Fluid Delivery System For Exhaust Aftertreatment System
A fluid delivery system for an exhaust aftertreatment system may include an outer housing, a pump, a filter assembly, an electric heating blanket, and a heater retention plate. The heater retention plate is shaped to correspond to the shapes of the pump and filter assembly. A lid of the outer housing contacts the heater retention plate and clamps the heating blanket between the heater retention plate and the pump and filter assembly so that the heating blanket takes the shapes of portions of the pump and filter assembly. The outer housing includes mounting flanges and reinforcement members extending from corresponding mounting flanges to corresponding sidewalls of the outer housing and forming a hollow space therebetween. The filter assembly includes compensation elements that contract in response to expansion of fluid within a pump housing due to freezing and expand in response to thawing of the fluid.
Filter Module with a Filter Element and with a Fastening Frame and Air Filter Device with a Filter Module
A filter module for filtering a fluid is provided with a filter element that has a filter bellows of a filter medium and is provided with a designated raw side and a designated clean side oppositely positioned relative to the designated raw side. A fastening frame is connected to the filter element and has a frame wall enclosing circumferentially at least partially a rim of the filter element. A circumferentially extending first sealing element is arranged on an exterior side of the frame wall of the fastening frame. The fastening frame has at least one locking element on an exterior side of the fastening frame. A second sealing element that seal the raw side and the clean side relative to each other is arranged on the filter element. The second sealing element can be guided into a sealing position upon locking of the at least one locking element in the installation position of the filter module.
Air filter having fluted filter media
An air cleaner includes a housing and an access cover. The internal volume of the housing can be reached through an opening in a side wall of the housing. A filter element having fluted filter media is removable and replaceable from the air cleaner. The housing is constructed and arranged to cam the element into sealing engagement with the housing. The access cover includes structure to help support and ensure proper seating of the filter element within the housing. A method of installing the filter element in the air cleaner includes sliding a portion of the filter element against a slide surface in the housing. A method of servicing an air cleaner includes tilting the filter element against a tilt surface in the housing to release a seal between the filter element and the housing. The filter element can have a handle to assist in servicing of the air cleaner. The housing can have a window to allow visual inspection of the internal component of the housing and to determine visually whether a filter element is installed therein.
AIR CLEANER AND VEHICLE
An air cleaner includes a filter element, a case having an opening and being configured to accommodate the filter element, and a lid configured to close the opening. The case includes a wall including a first surface and a second surface that are formed on at least one of an outer surface and an inner surface of the case and are continuous with each other in an opening direction of the opening through intermediation of a stepped portion. The case further includes a rib formed on at least one of the first surface and the second surface to extend in the opening direction.
FILTER ELEMENTS, AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF USE AND ASSEMBLY
Air cleaner assemblies, components therefor, and features thereof are described. Also described are methods of assembly and use. In depicted examples, the air cleaner assemblies and components optionally use advantageous housing seal features. Methods of assembly and use are described.
Air Filter Apparatuses and Related Methods
An air filter apparatus includes an air filter having a filtering medium at least partially housed within a housing. A cover is coupled with the air filter. A collapsed disposal bag is situated at least partially between the cover and air filter and may be secured to (or coupled with) the air filter. The cover is configured to be manually opened to expose the disposal bag and allow expansion of the bag. Before the cover is opened it is configured to retain the bag in the collapsed configuration. The bag in the expanded configuration is sized to receive and enclose the air filter. In implementations the air filter is a residential or commercial HVAC air filter. Methods of manufacture include securing the bag to the air filter, configuring the bag in the collapsed configuration, and securing the cover over the bag to keep it collapsed until the cover is opened.
