Also described is a method of manufacturing a dual filter assembly wherein a casing is twice reversibly attached to and detached from a support surface, filter units being added to the casing when the casing is attached to the surface.

A separating device for separating a liquid from gas is provided with a separating element that has a housing with housing cover closing off an end face of the housing. A filter element is arranged in the housing. A coupling element is provided to couple the separating element to a connector device. The housing cover has a central first gas passage and a second gas passage arranged radially outwardly of the first gas passage. The housing cover has a housing cover thread correlated with the first gas passage. The housing cover thread is to be screwed to a coupling element thread of the coupling element. A fluid discharge channel is arranged within the coupling element for discharging separated liquid from the separating device. The housing cover thread and the coupling element thread, in a position of use of the separating device, are connected substantially seal-tightly to each other.

The housing (18) has at least one fluid outlet (36, 48, 64) for fluid separated from the gas, which is disposed radially between the at least one first gas passage (82) and the at least one second gas passage (52) with respect to the axis (30). Between the at least one second gas passage (52) and the at least one fluid outlet (36, 48, 64), at least one housing-side fluid outlet sealing part (66) of at least one fluid outlet sealing device (92) is disposed, which is configured to sealingly interact with at least one corresponding connection-side fluid outlet sealing part (68) of the connecting part (16), which is provided for connecting the housing (18) with the connection device (14).

A filter cartridge for an air cleaner assembly is disclosed. The filter cartridge can include a media pack configured for installation into an air cleaner housing, the media pack extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite inlet and outlet flow ends, the media pack defining an outer perimeter. The filter cartridge can also include a circumferential shell surrounding at least a portion of the media pack outer perimeter. A radial flange extending from the circumferential shell proximate the media pack inlet end can also be provided. The flange can define a plurality of openings that are configured to receive protrusions on a housing body of the air cleaner assembly. The interaction between the protrusions and openings operates to ensure a secure seal between the housing body and the seal member.

A flowmeter and filter assembly for spirometry have a flowmeter with a turbine rotor and sensor means for detecting the speed of rotation of the rotor, and a filter upstream of the flowmeter. An air-conveying device modifies the direction of the flow of air at an outlet from the filter to set the rotor in rotation within the flowmeter. The air-conveying device is integrated in the filter instead of in the flowmeter.

A filter element, a safety element and fluid cleaner assembly. The fluid cleaner assembly generally includes a housing having a cover and a primary fluid cleaner section. The element generally comprises z-filter media, arranged in a straight through configuration, and an axial seal gasket positioned to extend continuously around at outer perimeter of the straight through flow construction. The fluid cleaner assembly can have a precleaner positioned therein. Methods of assembly and use are provided.

A stand-alone air filter assembly has a unitary molded plastic preform shell, with the preform shell including an inlet section, an outlet section, and a hose connection section integral with a downstream end of the outlet section. A filter media pack including a fluted filter media member is fitted inside the inlet section of the preform shell through which unfiltered air enters the air filter assembly. The outlet section of the preform shell through which filtered air leaves the air filter assembly converges from a larger, first cross-sectional area of the inlet section to a smaller, second cross-sectional area at the downstream end of the outlet section, and the outlet section includes one or more sensor ports that are each configured to support a sensor for measuring a characteristic of the filtered air leaving the air filter assembly. The hose connection section includes an annular hose bead interface formed around an outer circumference thereof for sealing engagement with a hose fluidly coupling the air filter assembly to an air intake on an engine.

A cup-shaped housing assembly for a device for separating liquid from air has a cup-shaped housing body having an interior. At least one annular filter element for separating liquid from air is arranged in the housing body. A housing cover closes off an end face of the housing body. The housing cover has an inner side that is facing the interior and an outer side that is facing away from the interior. The housing cover has at least one raw air inlet through which raw air is supplied to the interior. The housing cover has at least one clean air opening though which filtered clean air is discharged from the interior.

According to the present disclosure, features, components and techniques useable for providing air cleaner arrangements are provided. Many of the features relate to an axial seal arrangement provided on a filter cartridge. A typical filter cartridge, for use with these features, is a filter cartridge having opposite flow ends. Example media arrangements that fit this characterization are described. Seal arrangements provided with an axial housing sealing engagement surface are shown. A seal arrangement is provided. Also, air cleaner assemblies having advantageous features therein are provided. Further, air cleaner housings are described, with selected, preferred features for engagement with filter cartridges.

Filter system and replaceable filter cartridge

A filter system can include a replaceable filter cartridge having a spinner element structured to swirl a mixed flow of compressible fluid and oil, as well as an end cap used to enclose an open interior of a filter media of the filter cartridge. The filter cartridge can be configured to interface with and be supported by a mesh holder. A housing can be attached over the filter cartridge to enclose the system and create a flow path for a mixed flow of compressible fluid and oil. The replaceable filter cartridge can be constructed of materials suitable for disposal in a waste incineration process. The mesh holder can be inserted on a combo-block and secured in place by a compression fitting. A stand pipe can extend into the interior of the filter media and be coupled with a central passage of the mesh holder.
