An ear cleaning device is provided for removing debris from an ear. In one form, the ear cleaning device includes a shaft, a head connected to the shaft, and a contiguous pocket structure of the head. The contiguous pocket structure includes a plurality of pockets that may be configured to receive debris. In another form, the ear cleaning device has a handle, a bulbous cleaner connected to the handle, and a solid inner core of the bulbous cleaner. The bulbous cleaner has two or more spaced, longitudinal walls disposed outward of the inner core that are configured to remove debris with turning of the ear cleaning device about a longitudinal axis of the device.

Hand removable, clip on wax guards

Guards for a space access device are configured to be attached to, as well as removed from the space access device by hand, without the need to resort to any tools to perform the attachment or the removal. A distal guard includes at least first and second filters separated by at least one convoluted pathway, and also includes outwardly extending members projecting outwardly from a base of the distal guard. A proximal guard forms at least one convoluted pathway with a cap forming a proximal end of the space access device. A pull tab provides redundancy against failure. The pull tab may be incorporated into the distal guard.

EAR CLEANING DEVICE

An ear cleaning device comprising a fluid dispenser in communication with a hollow cleaning body. The hollow cleaning body is elongated according to a relative longitudinal axis. The cleaning body includes an insertion portion configured to assume a resting configuration in which it is at least partially insertable into the ear canal of an ear, and an expanded configuration in which it has an increased volume due to expansion by fluid provided by the fluid dispenser. The insertion portion includes a plurality of lobes which are elongated according to the longitudinal axis and form convex portions towards the outside of the insertion portion. The insertion portion also includes connecting walls between the lobes which are developed according to the longitudinal axis forming grooves between the lobes.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CLEANING THE EXTERNAL AUDITORY CANAL

A device (1) for cleaning the external auditory canal, which device (1) includes a guide sleeve (30), with a proximal outlet portion (31) for partial insertion into the auditory canal, and an instrumentation rod (10) that can be guided axially through the guide sleeve (30). At a proximal end region, the instrumentation rod (10) has a cleaner (20) with at least one circumferentially extending cleaning element (21) which is elastically expandable in a radial direction. An internal cross section of the proximal outlet portion (31) is smaller than an external cross section of the cleaning element (21) in a radially expanded state. The cleaning element (21) can be arranged inside the proximal outlet portion (31) in a radially compressed state in which the cleaning element (21) is bent in the distal direction towards the longitudinal axis of the instrumentation rod (10), such that the cleaning element (21), on emerging from the proximal outlet portion (31), straightens up in the proximal direction into the radially expanded state. A method for cleaning the external auditory canal using such a device (1) is also provided.
