A first flow path extends from the first air-oil mixture inlet to the air outlet through the two separator sections, and a second flow path extends from the second air-oil mixture inlet to the air outlet, solely through the second separator section A method of operating an air-oil separator is also disclosed.
Recycled asphalt baghouse apparatus
A baghouse apparatus for removing particulates from a 100% recycled asphalt pavement dryer exhaust air stream includes a drop out zone section having a water spray operable to initially drench an incoming air exhaust stream with water droplets while increasing air stream velocity, then slow the air stream velocity to cause drop out of particulates >1000 m from the slowed waste air stream, and collect the particulates dropped out of the waste air exhaust stream. The apparatus also includes a cyclonic scrubber section for further cooling the waste air exhaust stream while subjected the stream to a further water spray to condense aerosol vapor into droplets, a prefilter filtration section operable to collect and remove condensed aerosol droplets from the waste air stream; and a coalescing filtration section operable to remove 99% of remaining particulates from the waste air stream before discharge of the air stream to atmosphere.
Filtering apparatus for filtering air from an absorbent articles manufacturing process line
The current disclosure concerns a filtering apparatus (10) for filtering the air from an absorbent articles manufacturing process line, said filtering apparatus (10) comprising a. a housing (36) comprising one or more inlets (12); b. a filtering media 14 arranged downstream with respect to the airflow of the one or more air inlets (12); c. a support structure (16) comprising a cylindrical drum (18) comprising a first and second longitudinal ends (49,60), the filtering media (14) being secured to said cylindrical drum (18); d. a motor device (52) to rotate the cylindrical drum (18); and e. a first pump (38).
According to the disclosure, the motor device (52) comprises a driving mean (56) and the cylindrical drum (18) comprises the corresponding driven mean (50) arranged at the periphery of one of the longitudinal ends (49,60) of the cylindrical drum (18), the driving mean (56) actuating the driven mean and cylindrical drum (18).
Air-oil separator with first separator radially outward of matrix separator
There is disclosed a separator having a first separator and a matrix separator. The first separator caters to an air-oil mixture having a first oil concentration and the matrix separator caters to an air-oil mixture having a second oil concentration being less than the first oil concentration. The matrix separator is disposed at least partially concentrically within the first separator. A wall is disposed radially between the first and second separators. A radial passage extends through the wall. An air-oil mixture outlet of the first separator is fluidly connected to an air-oil mixture inlet of the matrix separator via the radial passage. At least one passage extends radially outwardly from the matrix separator across the first separator. The at least one passage fluidly connects the matrix separator to an environment outside the air-oil separator. A method of removing oil from an air-oil mixture is also disclosed.
DIRT SEPARATOR FOR A VACUUM CLEANER
A dirt separator for a vacuum cleaner including a chamber having an inlet through which dirt-laden fluid enters the chamber and an outlet through which cleansed fluid exits the chamber; and a disc located at the outlet, the disc being arranged to rotate about a rotational axis and including holes through which the cleansed fluid passes. The disc includes a first region in which a first array of said holes is provided, and a second region, radially outward of the first region, in which a second array of said holes is provided. Each hole of the second array has a larger cross-sectional area than each hole of the first array.
Systems and Methods for Attaching and Retaining a Filter Element on a Rotating Shaft
An attachment and retaining mechanism is described for removably attaching a rotating filter element to a rotating shaft. The rotating filter element includes a filter media that is driven by a drive mechanism that rotates the rotating shaft. The filter element is removably attached to the rotating shaft such that the filter element and filtration system can be periodically replaced and/or serviced. In some arrangements, the drive shaft includes a D-shaped section that interacts with a mating section of the filter element sleeve of the rotating filter element. In other arrangements, the drive shaft includes at least one flat drive surface.
