APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR BONE CONDUCTION CONTEXT DETECTION
Apparatus and methods for bone conduction detection are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes a first sensor to output a first vibration signal associated with a first bone structure of a user, a second sensor to output a second vibration signal associated with a second bone structure of the user, memory, and at least one processor to execute instructions to determine a sound associated with at least one of the first vibration signal or the second vibration signal originated external to the user; determine a direction from which the sound originated relative to the user; and generate a signal to cause an output device to present an alert to the user, the alert indicative of the direction of the sound.

LIGHT CONTROL DEVICES AND METHODS FOR REGIONAL VARIATION OF VISUAL INFORMATION AND SAMPLING
Exemplary light control devices and methods provide a regional variation of visual information and sampling (V-VIS) of an ocular field of view that improves or stabilizes vision, ameliorates a visual symptom, reduces the rate of vision loss, or reduces the progression of an ophthalmic or neurologic condition, disease, injury or disorder. The V-VIS devices and methods generate a moving aperture effect anterior to a retina that samples and delivers to the retina environmental light from an ocular field of view at a sampling rate between 50 hertz and 50 kilohertz. Certain of these V-VIS devices and methods may be combined with augmented or virtual reality, vision measurement, vision monitoring, or other therapies including, but not limited to, pharmacological, gene, retinal replacement and stem cell therapies.

CONTEXTUALIZED EQUALIZATION
A method may include receiving a reading from a pressure sensor disposed within an object in contact with a body of a user, where the pressure sensor includes a force sensitive resistor (FSR) in series with a constant resistor. The object may host a transducer that is configured to provide vibrotactile sensations to the body of the user. The method may also include, using the reading from the pressure sensor, computing an amount of pressure exerted on the object by the body of the user. The method may additionally include comparing the amount of pressure to a pressure threshold data structure to determine a transducer system state associated with the transducer. The method may also include performing equalization processing on an output signal used by the transducer, where the equalization processing is specific to the transducer system state.
Reduced Friction Eartips, And Systems And Methods Therefore
The application discloses an a method of forming a lower friction eartip when compared to a pretreated elastomer eartip.

Apparatus and method for treating a neurological disorder of the auditory system
An apparatus for use in treating a neurological disorder of the auditory system, including a stimulus generation unit and a somatosensory stimulation unit. The stimulus generation unit operable to analyse an audio signal including a first component comprising a broadband or white noise component and a second component including a plurality of complex tone bursts, and generate a plurality of actuation signals representative of at least one of the first or second component of the audio signal and further to spectrally modify the audio signal to generate a binaural modified audio signal for delivery to a subject. The somatosensory stimulation unit includes: an array of stimulators to apply a somatosensory stimulation to the subject with the modified audio signal, and an input for receiving the plurality of actuation signals from the stimulus generation unit and directing individual actuation signals in a predetermined pattern to individual stimulators in the array.
Ultrasonic wave generation device for hearing recovery treatment
Disclosed is an ultrasonic wave generation device for hearing recovery treatment, including an ultrasonic wave generation part. The ultrasonic wave generation part comprises a reference time-delay determination module, an emission sequence parameter determination module and an ultrasonic transducer module. The ultrasonic transducer module is used for emitting actual ultrasonic waves, and the efficiency and precision are improved by focusing by means of a plurality of array elements.
