Fume extraction device having system for validating credentialed filters
A fume extraction apparatus (1) which comprises an identifier module (20a; 20b) capable of communicating a credential signal over an air interface, a receiver (31) for receiving the credential signal and validating the same, the identifier module attached to a removable filter unit (5; 6); and the receiver is secured to a body of the apparatus, which body removably receives the filter unit.
Air filter, filter element and filter housing of an air filter
An air filter (10) includes an openable filter housing (12) and a filter element (18). The filter housing (12) includes an inlet (26) and an outlet. A filter element (18) with a filter medium (46) is disposed replaceably in the filter housing separating the inlet (26) from the outlet (22). The filter element (18) features on an exterior side facing away from the element interior space (52) on an axial front face relative to the element axis (32) at least one supporting element (58) having at least one supporting lateral surface (60, 61) with at least one cylindrical portion and/or at least one portion with a variable cross-section in the direction of a main axis. The supporting element (58) is supported at least transversely in relation to the element axis (32) with the at least one supporting lateral surface (60, 61) against at least one corresponding support portion (42) on the side of the filter housing (12).
Air cleaner arrangements with end support for cartridge; components; and, methods
Air cleaner assemblies are described and shown. A serviceable filter cartridge is positioned within a housing. A unique axial projection arrangement is positioned on the cartridge, and it can be used as part of a projection/receiver arrangement.
FILTER SYSTEMS, ELEMENTS AND METHODS WITH SHORT-RANGE WIRELESS TRACKING FEATURES
Aspects herein include filter systems including short-range wireless tracking features to detect insertion and/or removal of filter elements from filter systems. In an embodiment, a filtration system is included having a housing including a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The housing can define an internal volume. A first filter element can be removably disposed within the housing. A short-range wireless communication tag can be associated with the first filter element. A short-range wireless communication reader can be associated with the housing, the reader configured to wirelessly send data to and receive data from the tag when the reader and the tag are at a distance that is less than or equal to a maximum communication distance. Removal of the first filter element from the housing can cause the distance between the tag and the reader to exceed the maximum communication distance. Other embodiments are also included herein.
Air filter condition sensing
An air filter includes filter media, a sensor, and circuitry coupled to the sensor, the circuitry configured to receive data from the sensor representative of the condition of the filter media and wirelessly transmit such data. The data may be received by a device with a display to use the information to present an indication of the filter media condition to a user.
Air purifying device
The present utility model discloses an air-purifying apparatus. The air-purifying apparatus comprises a filter screen, filter screen type determining component, and filter screen service life determining component. The filter screen is for filtering particles and at least one of specific chemical matters in the air. The filter screen determining component is configured to determine a type of the filter screen. The filter screen service life determining component is configured to determine whether the filter screen needs to be changed according to the determined type of the filter screen and a use condition of the filter screen. With the air-purifying device of the present disclosure, remaining service lives of the filter screens of different types or specifications may be obtained, then a user may be prompted when the filter screen needs to be changed, thereby allowing the user to maintain a good air-purifying effect at any time.
Filter cartridges; air cleaner assemblies; housings; features; components; and, methods
Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly cannot be fully closed, even if a cartridge is nested therein, and appears to be sealed, unless that cartridge is a proper one for the system of concern. The effect is to prevent an inappropriate cartridge, that does not properly seal, from being inadvertently installed in the assembly.
FILTER LIFE PREDICTION METHOD AND FILTER TYPE DETECTION METHOD
A method to predict the lifespan of an air filter including providing pressure sensors in a device having an air filter and a fan to drive air through the air filter, one pressure sensor located on an intake side of the fan and one pressure sensor located on an outflow side of the fan, periodically calculating a static pressure drop across the fan, storing the static pressure drop daily; calculating an average pressure drop, calculating a cumulative particle loading on the filter, comparing the cumulative particle loading with a pre-determined maximum particle loading for the filter, and determining if the filter needs to be changed is provided.
FILTER ASSEMBLY AND FLOOR CLEANER
The present disclosure provides a floor cleaner that includes a replaceable component, such as a brushroll or a filter. The floor cleaner has a detection mechanism comprising a magnet on the replaceable component and a Hall Effect sensor positioned to detect the permanent magnet when the replaceable component is correctly installed on the floor cleaner. Operation of one or more electrically-powered components of the floor cleaner is prevented when the permanent magnet is not detected by the Hall Effect sensor.
Interlock for genuine filter recognition
Various example embodiments relate to a filtration system and methods for the installation and use of such a filtration system. According to a set of embodiments, the filtration system comprises a housing that defines a central compartment therein. The filtration system further comprises a filter cartridge positioned within the central compartment of the housing. The filter cartridge comprises a filter media and an identification element. The filtration system further comprises a sensor. The sensor is structured to sense the identification element of the filter cartridge. The filtration system further comprises a filter blocking mechanism communicably coupled to the sensor. The filter blocking mechanism is structured to prevent installation of the filter cartridge into the housing unless filter cartridge information of the identification element sensed by the sensor is identified as corresponding to an authorized filter cartridge.
