The invention relates to a filter bag (1) for pocket air filters having two abutting side parts (2, 3) which are made of an air-permeable filter material that is weldable by ultrasound. The side parts (2, 3) are continuously welded to one another in side edge portions (4) on three sides (5, 6, 7) of the side parts (2, 3), so that, by way of the two side parts (2, 3) welded together, a pocket (8) having two opposite side edges (9, 10), a bottom edge (11) and an opening (12) opposite said bottom edge (11) is formed. Several webs (13) made from a flexible material web (14) are formed in the pocket (8). The webs (13) connect the side parts (2, 3) to one another and are orientated from an opening side (15) of the filter bag (1) in the direction of the bottom edge (11). The flexible material web (14) is alternately connectedat least in portionsto one of the side parts (2, 3) in each case in weld portions (16). The weld portions (16) are delimited by at least one weld across the direction of flow (18) so that the flexible material web (14) is connected in a weld portion (16) in each case exclusively with one side part (2, 3). The webs (13) are formed by web portions (19) of the flexible material web (14). The web portions (19) run, in each case, between two adjacent weld portions (16), by which the flexible material web (14) is connected to the two opposite side parts (2, 3). In each case, a web portion width (20) of the web portions (19) defined by a length of a web portion (19) between the side parts (2, 3) decreases from the opening side (15) towards the bottom edge (11). A weld portion width (21) of at least one weld portion (16) increases at least in portions from the opening side (15) in the direction of the bottom edge (11).

A valve with relatively reduced tank penetration is useful for cleaning at least a portion of a filter unit, such as multiple filter bags, arranged in a filter installation for filtering polluted gas passed therethrough. This valve is preferably a relatively high performance pulse valve of relatively small pressure vessel penetration cross section area useful with relatively lower cost pressure vessels.

A bag filter filtration and dust collecting apparatus according to the present invention is a bag filter filtration and dust collecting apparatus using a bag filter for collecting dust and the like from supplied polluted air and then discharging the dust and the like to the outside, and the bag filter filtration and dust collecting apparatus comprises: an upper case in which a plurality of bag filters for filtering dust are installed in the vertical direction; a lower case, formed at a lower end of the upper case, which collects dust that falls from the bag filter; and at least two mutually parallel air supply pipes, passing through the lower case, which supply polluted air into the bag filter filtration and dust collecting apparatus, wherein the air supply pipe is provided with a side discharge hole formed on the side thereof whereby the air spray is directed toward the inner side wall of the upper case or the lower case, and accordingly, a central space between the at least two air supply pipes forms a region in which dust can fall.

Embodiments of the system include a single-stage combination filter having a number of first layer media pockets and a number of second layer media pockets arranged downstream of the first layer pockets. An opening of each of the first layer media pockets is arranged in parallel with one another to receive an incoming airflow into the single-stage combination filter. Each of the second layer media pockets is at least 99.97% efficient at removing 0.3 micron and larger particles at a face velocity on the filter of about 37 meters per minute.

Forth edges of the sheet portions define an openable and closable edge (40) which has an open position and a closed position, which allows inserting a frame (122) of the leaf (110) into the leaf filter bag (1) through an opening formed by the openable and closable edge (40) in the open position. A zipper (42) closure (41) is provided at the openable and closable edge (40), and a further hook-and-loop fastener closure may be provided.

Industrial vacuum systems are disclosed, as are filter chambers for industrial vacuum systems and other filtration applications. The filter chambers in these systems use two distinct types of filtering elements within a single chamber, arranging the filter elements such that air cannot pass through a secondary filter element until the air has first passed through and been filtered by a number of primary filter elements. The airflow within the filter chamber may be essentially vertical, and the secondary filter element may be positioned above the primary filter elements. The filter chamber may also include an agitation system for cleaning the filtering elements. The agitation system may be constructed such that it can operate while the system is in use.
