Dust collector having vertical filters and a filter carriage
A removable filter system and a dust collector with the removable filter system. The dust collector includes a filter carriage movably connected to a carriage base; at least one filter and filter support removably connected to the filter carriage. The filter carriage is movable between at least three positions: in the first position the filter being in an operational location, in the second position the filter being vertically lower but inside the dust collector, and in the third position the filter being outside the dust collector. A method for replacing a filter in the dust collector includes lowering the filter with the filter carriage; translating the filter and carriage out of the dust collector housing; removing the filter from the carriage; placing a replacement filter on the carriage; translating the replacement into the dust collector housing; and raising the filter carriage to lock the replaced filter into an operational location.
CATALYSED FILTER SYSTEM FOR TREATING PARTICULATE-CONTAINING EXHAUST GAS FROM STATIONARY EMISSION SOURCES
A catalysed filter system for treating particulate-containing exhaust gas from a stationary emission source comprises an elongate filter element comprising porous walls which define a hollow section and a substrate material supporting a catalyst component disposed within the hollow section, the arrangement being such that gas entering the hollow section of the elongate filter element from across the porous walls thereof must contact the substrate material supporting the catalyst component before exiting the hollow section of the elongate filter element.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PLASMA SYNTHESIS OF GRAPHITIC PRODUCTS INCLUDING GRAPHENE
Apparatus for plasma synthesis of graphitic products including graphene, comprising: a plasma nozzle coupled to a reaction chamber; means for supplying a process gas to the plasma nozzle, the process gas comprising a carbon-containing species; and means for supplying radio frequency radiation to the process gas within the plasma nozzle, so as to produce a plasma within the nozzle in use, and thereby cause cracking of the carbon-containing species; wherein the plasma nozzle is arranged such that an afterglow of the plasma extends into the reaction chamber, the cracked carbon-containing species also passes into the reaction chamber, and the cracked carbon-containing species recombines within the afterglow, so as to form graphitic products including graphene. A method of plasma-synthesising graphitic products including graphene is also provided.
FILTER SYSTEM COMPRISING A LAYER WITH ACTIVE ADSORBENT CONTAINING BAGS
A filter system for adsorbing an odor of a gas flow in an industrial process includes a filter module (1) with a layer (11) containing active adsorbent (3). The layer (11) includes a plurality of active adsorbent containing permeable bags (2) arranged in close proximity to each other.
Filter frame header locking device
A header containing a multi-toothed tab forming a series of ratchets formed therein cooperatively engages a lanced section extending across the web of the cross section and depressed toward the inside of the cross section a selected depth that is greater than the tab thickness. One edge of the lanced and formed surface is formed with an upturned lip that functions as a pawl for the ratchets on the tab. Insertion of the tab into the lanced section of the receiver, each ratchet will be forced over the paw of the lanced section. The lanced section acts as a spring to allow the ratchet to pass over the paw and then pop back to its previous location ready to be flexed again for the next ratchet. The header includes a longitudinal channel having a base channel and upwardly extending channel sidewalls and a pair of spaced apart aligned longitudinal reinforcement ribs extending along said longitudinal channel base. The channel sidewalls including a pair of inwardly projecting longitudinal shoulders spaced apart from and aligned with the reinforcement ribs. The longitudinal channel member include a first male end including a tab with two lateral half tangs for cooperatively engaging an opposing channel receiver including two lateral lanced portions forming inwardly raised transverse flanges on either side of said channel base, each with an upwardly projecting lip for cooperative engagement with the two tangs disposed on the tab surface of the opposing distal end of the longitudinal channel member. The channel receiver has two inwardly extending dimples which cooperatively engage an inwardly canted end portion of the tab to maintain engagement of the tangs with said upwardly projecting lips.
FILTER MEDIA INCLUDING ORIENTED FIBERS
Filter media incorporating one or more filtration layers that include fibers including fiber portions orientated at a non-zero angle with respect to a surface of the filtration layer are provided. In some embodiments, at least a part of the fiber portions are positioned at an angle of at least 20 degrees (e.g., between 46 degrees and 90 degrees, or between 61 degrees and 90 degrees) with respect to a surface of the filtration layer or an outer or cover layer of the media. This orientation of fiber portions may result in an increased efficiency (e.g., average efficiency and/or initial efficiency) compared to similar filter media that do not include such oriented fiber portions.
Electrical filter structure
This publication discloses an electrostatic filter construction, to be positioned in air ducts or ventilation channels, which electrostatic filter construction includes a charging unit, which charges the particles to be filtered into a first electric potential and arranged in the filter construction in the path of the air flow before filter elements, electrically conducting electrodes connected to a second electric potential different to the potential of the charged particles and set substantially parallel to the direction of the airflow, and bag shaped filter elements positioned after the charging unit in the path of the air flow. According to the invention each bag shaped filter element has at least one designated UV-light source and an element of photo catalytic material like TiO.sub.2.
Dust filtration unit
A dust filtration unit for a frac sand storage bin and a method for using the same is disclosed. The dust filtration unit includes an adapter base adapted for attachment to an opened inspection hatch on the sand storage bin, a diffuser manifold attached to the adapter base, and a top plate of the diffuser manifold defining a plurality of filter bag orifices. Each of a plurality of filter bags is releasably attached to one of the plurality of filter bag orifices. In a non-limiting embodiment, the dust filtration unit further includes a hinge between the adapter base and the diffuser manifold, wherein the hinge rotatably attaches the adapter base to the diffuser manifold.
