A nucleic acid purification device according to the inventive concept includes an activated carbon fiber filter, wherein the activated carbon fiber filter includes an activated carbon fiber and a potassium compound coated on the surface of the activated carbon fiber.

An extreme ultraviolet radiation source is provided, including a vessel and a gas scrubber. The vessel has a gas inlet from which a cleaning gas is supplied into the vessel and a gas outlet from which the cleaning gas exits the vessel. The gas scrubber is disposed within the vessel, arranged such that the cleaning gas leaves the vessel through the gas outlet after flowing through the gas scrubber. The gas scrubber has a number of gas passages to allow the cleaning gas to flow through, and the sizes of the gas passages vary according to the distance between each of the gas passages and the gas outlet.

In a combustion engine, an exit stream of blow-by gases follows a fluid pathway through an oil and air separator and a breather filter, the oil and air separator including a first housing including a central chamber therein, the central chamber divided into a first outer portion and a second inner portion by a barrier; a filter material disposed between the first outer portion and the second inner portion; a cap directly coupled to the first housing, the cap including a first lumen therethrough, the first lumen including a first end disposed at the second inner portion; and a coupler removably coupling the cap and an extension portion including a second lumen therethrough.

Filtration systems having a tangential air cleaner having a coiled media filter element and a cyclonic pre-cleaner are described. An outer wall of the filter element acts as a pre-cleaner sleeve of the housing to generate a cyclonic flow of the intake air prior to the intake air being filtered by the filter element. The housing cover includes geometry that redirects the cyclonic flow from a tangential path to an axial, straight-through flow directed through an inlet flow face of the filter element. Various embodiments of such filtration systems offer increased filter performance and capacity compared to similarly sized cylindrical pleated filter elements having a radial flow filtering path.

A dirt separator for a vacuum cleaner includes a chamber having an inlet through which dirt-laden fluid enters and an outlet through which cleansed fluid exits the chamber. A disc located at the outlet rotates about a rotational axis and comprises holes through which the cleansed fluid passes. The disc comprises a perforated region and a non-perforated region. The holes are then formed in the perforated region, and the width of the non-perforated region is no less than the diameter of the inlet.

A dirt separator for a vacuum cleaner including a chamber having an inlet through which dirt-laden fluid enters the chamber and an outlet through which cleansed fluid exits the chamber; and a disc located at the outlet, the disc being arranged to rotate about a rotational axis, and including holes running from an upstream face to a downstream face through which the cleansed fluid passes.
