An air cleaner includes a case, an air inlet, an air outlet, a grill covering the air inlet to filter airborne oil droplets, a fan to suction air through the air inlet and discharge air out of the air outlet, a roll filter provided between the grill and the fan to filter oil mist, and a filter roller to cut the roll filter. The roll filter includes a roller and a filter sheet wound around the roller, and the filter sheet may be unwound to extend behind the grill. When the filter sheet becomes dirty, the roll filter is further unwound so that a clean section is provided behind the grill, and the filter cutter may cut off the dirty section. During cutting, a clamp holds down the filter sheet. The case includes a slit through which the dirty section of the filter sheet passes for discarding.

An air purifier includes a filter member for filtering pollutants in the air, a blower for providing blowing force to allow the air to pass through the filter member, a body frame accommodating the blower, a cover frame that forms a part of an appearance of the air purifier and is detachably coupled to the body frame, and a filter frame that is detachably coupled to the cover frame and detachably supports at least a portion of the filter member. When the filter frame is coupled to the cover frame, the filter member is positioned between the cover frame and the filter frame so that movement of the filter member is restricted, and when the cover frame is attached to and detached from the body frame, the filter member and the filter frame are attached and detached together with the cover frame.

An air purifier includes a filter member for filtering pollutants in the air, a blower for providing blowing force to allow the air to pass through the filter member, a body frame accommodating the blower, a cover frame that forms a part of an appearance of the air purifier and is detachably coupled to the body frame, and a filter frame that is detachably coupled to the cover frame and detachably supports at least a portion of the filter member. When the filter frame is coupled to the cover frame, the filter member is positioned between the cover frame and the filter frame so that movement of the filter member is restricted, and when the cover frame is attached to and detached from the body frame, the filter member and the filter frame are attached and detached together with the cover frame.

An air filter subassembly includes a filter element with a pre-cleaner tube member that is snapped onto the filter element.

A vortex particle separator has an impeller at a housing inlet with impeller blades spiraling around an impeller shaft and longitudinal axis of the separator to impart either clockwise or counterclockwise rotation to air flowing through the impeller when viewed looking downstream along the axis. The upstream end of each impeller blade is inclined in a direction opposite to the direction the air rotates when passing through the impeller, measured from a radial baseline through the axis and the juncture of the blade with the center shaft of the impeller. Thus, in each orthogonal plane along the axial length of the impeller the juncture of the blade with the housing is offset from the baseline in the rotational direction opposite the direction in which air flows through the impeller. An offset angle of 45° to 55° is believed suitable.

An air filter includes a frame portion including an outer frame and an inner frame, the outer frame being a frame body forming an outer contour and formed with an opening, the inner frame being provided within the outer frame and configured to partition the opening of the outer frame into a grid shape, and a filter portion provided on the frame portion to cover sections surrounded by the outer frame and the inner frame, the filter portion being configured to adsorb dust, wherein one side of the frame portion is totally flat.

The exoskeleton support frame is configured to be reused such that only the filter medium panel is replaced, thereby reducing the environmental waste and making for a “green” eco-friendly air filter element.
