Rotating Coalescing Element with Directed Liquid Drainage and Gas Outlet
A rotating coalescer having an ejected coalesced liquid separating device is described. The separating device prevents re-entrainment of liquid into a stream of filtered gas. The rotating coalescer includes a rotating filter element or coalescing cone stack positioned within a rotating coalescer housing. The outer surface of the rotating filter element or the outlet of the coalescing cone stack is displaced from the inner surface of the rotating coalescer housing. The gap between the rotating filter element or the coalescing cone stack and the rotating coalescer housing allows for ejected coalesced liquid, such as oil, to accumulate on the inner surface of the rotating coalescer housing for drainage and allows for filtered gas, such as air, to exit through a clean gas outlet of the rotating coalescer housing.
Systems and methods for removing particulates of a fissile material
A system for removing particulates of a fissile material includes first and second filtration paths. A first filter and a first valve are disposed in the first filtration path. A second filter and a second valve are disposed in the second filtration path. The first valve and the second valve are configured to switch between a dual open state and a mixed open/closed state. During the dual open state, the first valve and the second valve axe open to permit concurrent flows of the effluent gas through the first and second filtration paths. During the mixed open/closed state, one of the first valve and the second valve is open while the other of the first valve and the second valve is closed to permit the particulates on a corresponding one of the first filter and the second filter to be dislodged by a countercurrent flow of a purging gas.
MAKEUP AIR HANDLING UNIT IN SEMICONDUCTOR FABRICATION BUILDING AND METHOD FOR CLEANING AIR USING THE SAME
A semiconductor fabrication building is provided. The semiconductor fabrication building includes an ambient control surrounding and a makeup air handling unit configured to supply clean air to the ambient control surrounding. The makeup air handling unit includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet. The makeup air handling unit also includes a first filtration module positioned in the housing. The first filtration module includes a number of hollow fibers configured to guide air to flow from the air inlet to the air outlet. A porous layer is formed at an inner wall of each of the hollow fibers to filter airborne molecular contamination (AMC) having a selected size.
LIQUID SEPARATOR
A liquid separator for separating liquid out of a gas/liquid mixture, including an inlet, an outlet, a flow path connecting the inlet to the outlet and at least one separating device arranged in the flow path, the liquid separator being designed and embodied with simple structure and a compact construction to enable reliable separation of liquids in such a way that the separating device has a fabric portion for liquid separation through which the flow path passes, the fabric portion being arranged at an angle of 1° to 15° relative to the main flow direction in the separating device.
PARTICULATE FILTRATION DEVICE, FUEL VAPOR RECOVERY SYSTEM, VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR A PARTICULATE FILTRATION
A particulate filtration device is suggested, comprising an inlet for an inflow of a gas stream which is particle-laden, an outlet for an outflow of the gas stream having a significantly reduced particulate load, a main filter section, which is arranged within a flow path of the gas stream between the inlet and the outlet and which comprises a filtration medium, and a prefilter chamber, which is arranged upstream of the main filter section and which comprises an inertial filter element, having several perforations, wherein the perforations of the inertial filter element are arranged within the flow path of the gas stream in such a way that when the flow path of the gas stream is passing through the perforations, an inertial separation of the particulates from the mean flow path of the gas stream is achieved.
AIR CLEANER
Various embodiments of the present invention disclosed herein relate to an air cleaner, and may suck outside air and purify and sterilize the outside air, and may perform sterilization of a filter. An embodiment of the invention disclosed herein discloses an air cleaner including a body forming an appearance; a suction unit formed on the body and introduced with outside air; a discharge unit formed on the body and discharging the air introduced through the suction unit; a fan module provided inside the body and forming a flow of air introduced into the suction unit and discharged to the discharge unit; a filter unit provided inside the body to filter the air introduced into the suction unit; and a light source unit provided inside the body and irradiating light toward an inner side surface of the filter unit.
Cyclonic air treatment member and surface cleaning apparatus including the same
A hand vacuum cleaner has an openable air treatment stage. The air treatment stage has a lower openable portion that is moveably mounted to a forward portion of the pre-motor filter housing.
BARRIER VENT ASSEMBLY
The technology disclosed herein relates to a vent assembly having a vent housing that defines a first airflow pathway, a second airflow pathway, and a third airflow pathway. The first airflow pathway is configured for fluid communication with an interior of an enclosure. The second airflow pathway is configured for fluid communication with the external environment, and the third airflow pathway extends between the first airflow pathway and the second airflow pathway. A membrane is coupled to the vent housing such that the second airflow pathway and the third airflow pathway are in communication through the membrane. Coalescing filter media is disposed within the vent housing such that the third airflow pathway and the first airflow pathway are in communication through the coalescing filter media. The vent assembly defines a spacing region between the coalescing media and the membrane.
