An exhaust component for a motor vehicle includes a wall, an internal volume, an inlet, and an outlet. The wall includes a core layer having a surface and a first layer disposed on a portion of the surface. The portion is less than 100 percent of an area of the surface. The core layer has a first composition. The first layer is a cold-sprayed layer. The core layer has a second composition different from the first composition. The first layer reduces surface-radiated noise from the exhaust component during operation of the motor vehicle. The internal volume is at least partially defined by the wall. The inlet is in fluid communication with the internal volume. The outlet is in fluid communication with the internal volume.

An air cleaner assembly can contain an air filter element to filter contaminant material out of an air stream. In some examples, the air cleaner assembly includes a housing with an integrated noise suppression chamber for supplying air to a downstream compressor. The housing forms a cavity into which an air filter element is inserted. Contaminated air enters the housing and passes through the air filter. Filtered air can discharge from the housing through a first opening supplying air to a combustion engine and a second opening supplying air to a compressor. Air supplied to the compressor passes from the interior of the housing containing the filter element and through the integrated noise suppression chamber before being discharged. The acoustic energy released by the filtered air stream exiting the air cleaner assembly may be reduced by passing through the noise suppression chamber.

The present disclosure generally relates to an air filtration system, an air filtration device, and an air filtration module for removing ultra-fine particles (UFPs), pathogens (e.g., viruses, bacteria, etc.), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), oxides or odors. The systems, devices, and filter modules of the disclosure perform at enhanced filter and power efficiencies. An air filtration system is provides that includes a docking base for receiving a removable, portable air filtration device in fluid communication with the docking base. In certain embodiments, the air filtration system further includes the removable, portable air filtration device. The portable air filtration device may optionally include an air filtration module.

Filter and oil catch apparatus

A filter for an oil catch apparatus is provided. The oil catch apparatus is capable of efficiently extracting oil from air flowing through the oil catch apparatus while being of compact size. The filter includes a cylindrically wound main filter unit, a first keep member for keeping one end of the main filter unit, and a second keep member for keeping the other end of the main filter unit. Air flowing into the main filter unit from an opening formed in the first keep member is cleared of impurities upon passing through the main filter unit, and exits out of the main filter unit.

An air cleaner for a vehicle includes a case having an air inlet pipe and an air outlet pipe. A cover is removably attached to the case for covering an open top portion of the case. With the cover attached to the case an interior of the air cleaner defines a flow passage directed through the air cleaner from the air inlet pipe to the air outlet pipe. A filter element is received in the interior and is arranged over the flow passage. The flow passage immediately downstream of the filter element includes an elbow-shaped section for redirecting airflow from the filter element toward the air outlet pipe. The elbow-shaped section is provided with at least one first guide rib shaped correspondingly to the elbow-shaped section. The flow passage upstream of the air outlet pipe defines a branching section formed as an acoustic resonator for reducing air intake noise.

Air filter device

The air filter device includes a main member, a conduit member, a sealing piece, a pressurizing piece, a filter element, and a cap. The conduit member, sealing piece, pressurizing piece, and filter element are sequentially stacked in the main member. The conduit member provides a spiral duct with a second inlet and a second outlet. The second inlet is conducted to an outlet opening of the pressurizing piece. The second outlet is conducted to a plug extended from a bottom side of the main member. The cap is fastened to the main member with airflow paths between the cap and main member. The main member may be joined to the inlet terminal of any air compressor. External air is drawn into the air compressor through the filter element, pressuring element, conduit member, and the plug so as to achieve smooth, steady, and quiet air intake.

BACKPACK DUST COLLECTOR

A backpack dust collector includes a housing, a slit portion, and a noise-absorbing member. The housing includes a suction port, a dust collecting chamber, a motor chamber, and an exhaust port. The dust collecting chamber is connected to the suction port and configured to accommodate a dust collecting bag. The motor chamber is connected to the dust collecting chamber and accommodates a fan and a motor. Through the exhaust port, air from the motor chamber is discharged. The slit portion is disposed in a flow path between the motor chamber and the exhaust port and includes at least one slit-shaped vent through which air from the motor chamber passes. The noise-absorbing member is disposed in at least part of a flow path between the vent and the exhaust port.

Smoke evacuation device inlet and outlet manifolds

A smoke evacuation device includes one or more cooling mechanisms and an exhaust mechanism to reduce velocity and noise of filtered air exiting the smoke evacuation system. The cooling mechanism includes ventilation openings and/or a rotary mechanism disposed within the system to circulate air and cool by convective heat transfer. A pressure relief mechanism is also provided at the inlet or outlet of the system or the pump within the system. The pressure relief mechanism is configured to reduce pressures due to abnormal flows within the smoke evacuation system.
