AIR FILTER APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD
An air filter apparatus includes at least one frame that is configured to receive a filter media, and at least one sensing mechanism for sensing contamination of the filter media. The sensing mechanism can include a wave emitter and a wave detector. The wave emitter and the wave detector can be arranged so that the wave travels along a path that is substantially parallel to outer faces of the filter media. The wave detector can be located at a first edge of the frame, and the wave emitter can be located spaced apart laterally from the wave detector at a second edge of the frame, so that waves from the emitter can travel along the path through and laterally across the filter media towards the detector. The path can be substantially perpendicular to the general direction of air flow within the filter media.
AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM
An air filtration system includes a main body having a flow path; a first filter portion provided on the flow path and having a first body portion; a plurality of protrusions distributed and disposed on the first body portion; and a plurality of first through holes passing through the first body portion and interposed between the adjacent protrusions; wherein when an external fluid flows in the flow path, the external fluid passes through the protrusions first and then passes through each of the first through holes, so that the flowing external fluid is hindered by the protrusions, and thus a flow velocity at a position adjacent to the protrusions is lower than a flow velocity flowing through the first through holes, thereby vortices are respectively generated between orifices of the first through holes and the adjacent protrusions.
The present invention discloses an air filtration system including: a main body having a flow path; a first filter portion provided on the flow path and having a first body portion; a plurality of protrusions distributed and disposed on the first body portion; and a plurality of first through holes passing through the first body portion and interposed between the adjacent protrusions; wherein when an external fluid flows in the flow path, the external fluid passes through the protrusions first and then passes through each of the first through holes, so that the flowing external fluid is hindered by the protrusions, and thus a flow velocity at a position adjacent to the protrusions is lower than a flow velocity flowing through the first through holes, thereby vortices are respectively generated between orifices of the first through holes and the adjacent protrusions, so that particulates contained in the external fluid stay in static areas outside the vortices.
Modular NBC filtration system for protection shelters
An NBC filtration system whose main components are a filter unit, a blower, a manual air exchange backup unit and a changeover valve. The filter unit is elongated horizontally positioned along a top portion of a wall of the protected space. Inlet and outlet ports of the filter unit are located close to each other near a first extremity of the filter unit. The blower is driven by the electric motor through a second speed increasing transmission enabling rotation of an impeller of the blower. The blower is positioned along the filter unit near a second extremity distal from the inlet and outlet ports; The changeover valve has a tubular housing extending along the filter unit near the first extremity, and an internal displaceable tubular valve member. Each of the components may be replaced with a component of different capacity without effecting the other components.
AIR PURIFIER
An air purifier includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet, a filter disposed adjacent the air inlet, a blower unit disposed within the housing to draw air through the air inlet and expel air through the air outlet, a battery receptacle configured to engage a battery for providing power to the motor, and a handle coupled to the housing to facilitate transportation of the air purifier. The blower unit includes a motor and an impeller driven by the motor to induce an air flow, and rotation of the impeller induces air flow at a rate between approximately 400 cubic feet per minute and approximately 800 cubic feet per minute.

The systems, devices, and filter modules of the disclosure perform at enhanced filter and power efficiencies. An air filtration system is provides that includes a docking base for receiving a removable, portable air filtration device in fluid communication with the docking base. In certain embodiments, the air filtration system further includes the removable, portable air filtration device. The portable air filtration device may optionally include an air filtration module.

The invention refers to a filter arrangement for filtering dust-laden air (7) generated by a hand-guided power tool (1), in particular a sander or a grinder, during operation of the power tool (1). The filter arrangement comprises a filter cartridge (13) having a hollow casing (14), a filter element (22) located inside the casing (14), an air inlet port (15) located downstream in respect to an airflow (8) through the filter cartridge (13) and in respect to the filter element (22) and adapted to be pneumatically connected to the power tool (1) in order to allow the dust-laden air (7) generated by the power tool (1) to flow into the casing (14), and an air outlet port (20) located upstream in respect to the airflow (8) through the filter cartridge (13) and in respect to the filter element (22), the air outlet port (20) adapted to allow filtered air (9) leave the filter cartridge (13).
It is suggested that the filter arrangement comprises an active airflow generating device (30) with a fan (40) comprising a plurality of blades (44) and driven by an electric motor (38) separate from an electric motor of the power tool (1), the airflow generating device (30) being in pneumatic connection with the air inlet port (15) of the filter cartridge (13) or with the air outlet port (20) of the filter cartridge (13) in order to generate or support the airflow (8) through the filter cartridge (13).

A modular filtration device is composed of a modular docking plate having at least one quick disconnect plumbing coupling; at least one electrical connector; and at least one alignment feature for aligning and receiving a modular filter; and a modular filter composed of a docking face having: at least one quick disconnect plumbing coupling; at least one electrical connector; and at least one alignment feature that mates with an alignment feature of the modular docking plate to provide proper alignment of the filter with the docking plate, engagement of the quick disconnect plumbing couplings, engagement of the electrical connectors, and engagement of the locking mechanism. The modular filtration device comprises a locking mechanism to hold the filter in place during operation. A modular filtration system is composed of a plurality of the filtration devices.
