AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF USE
Air cleaner assemblies, components therefor, and features thereof are described. Also described are methods of assembly and use. In depicted examples, the air cleaner assemblies and components optionally use advantageous housing seal features. Methods of assembly and use are described.
AIR FILTERING ASSEMBLY FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
An air filter system for a motor vehicle includes a common housing, first and second D-shaped filter elements and a common cover. The common housing defines a first airflow chamber extending between a first inlet duct and a first outlet duct and a second airflow chamber extending between a second inlet duct and a second outlet duct. The first airflow chamber is fluidly separated from the second airflow chamber. The first D-shaped filter element is disposed in the first airflow chamber for filtering air passing through the first airflow chamber. The second D-shaped filter element is disposed in the second airflow chamber for filtering air passing through the second airflow chamber. The common cover is secured to the housing and closes the first airflow chamber and the second airflow chamber.
Filter element
A filter element having a longitudinal center axis for a fresh air system of an internal combustion engine may include a first plate filter body composed of a pleated filter material and a separate second plate filter body composed of a pleated filter material. The filter element may include first wall body and a second wall body, and a first end body and a second end body. The first wall body, the second wall body, the first end body and the second end body may be connected to the first plate body and the second plate filter body to define an inner space. At least one of the first plate filter body and the second plate filter body may include a curvature projecting to the interior space in a profile extending transversely to a longitudinal direction with respect to the longitudinal center axis.
Filter Element for an Air Filter Device of a Motor Vehicle, and Air Filter Device
A filter element for an air filter device of a motor vehicle includes a frame which surrounds a filter material. The frame has a front wall extending perpendicularly to an insertion direction in which the filter element is insertable in a receiving space of a housing of the air filter device. A securing element is disposed on a front side of the front wall on which securing element a cover of the air filter device configured for closing the receiving space is fixable. The securing element has two holding parts which are engageable with two corresponding holding parts of the cover. The two holding parts of the securing element are configured as wings projecting from a shank of the securing element transversely to the insertion direction and the two holding parts extending from a respective first end region to a respective second end region, facing the front wall, are ramp-shaped.
Manufacturing method for a filter core
A filter core has a wavy filtering sheet and a flat filtering sheet. The filtering sheets are for filtering suspended pollutants and respectively have multiple corrugations axially arranged apart from each other. Therefore, channels formed between the filtering sheets also have corrugations formed on inner walls of the channels after the filtering sheets are adhered. The corrugations on the inner walls of the channels are also axially arranged apart from each other and form concave and convex portions. As a result, when fluid, such as air, axially moves in the channels, the suspended pollutants on the fluid may hit, gather and accumulate on the corrugations, thereby slowing the fluid flow and providing one more filtering process. In addition, the corrugations on the filtering sheets also increase a filtering area. To sum up, the filter core can enhance the filtering effect.
DEVICE FOR DETECTING A FILTER LOADING
A filter device of an air-conditioning system of a motor vehicle is provided. The filter device has at least one indicator device arranged in the filter device, the indicator device having at least one electrically conductive indicator material, the conductive characteristics of which vary in a manner dependent on the degree of loading of the filter device with filtered particles. Also provided is a motor vehicle having an air-conditioning system comprising the filter device, and a method for detecting the state of the filter device.
FILTER ELEMENT ANALYSIS SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A filter media analysis system which utilizes particulate buildup to close notches or breaks provided along a passive circuit, wherein closure of the notches results in an activation of the circuit and transmission at a particular frequency which activation and transmission can be correlated to a life cycle point of the filter media.
BREATHING TUBE FILTER AND FILTER ASSEMBLY
A pulmonary function test filter and filter assembly for use with a breathing tube of a spirometer. The filter assembly includes a first portion having an exhaust end configured to removably engage an exhaust end of a flow tube of a spirometer, preferably without an adapter, a second portion configured to cooperatively engage the first portion and including a mouthpiece, and filter media. The filter media is removably securable between the first and second portions.
FILTER MEDIUM FOR AIR FILTER, FILTER PACK, AIR FILTER UNIT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FILTER MEDIUM FOR AIR FILTER
A filter medium includes first and second porous films mainly containing fluororesin, and a pre-collection member upstream of the first film. The second film is downstream of the first film. The pre-collection member has a pressure drop when air is passed through at a flow rate of 5.3 cm/s of between 15 Pa and 55 Pa, a collection efficiency of NaCl particles having a particle diameter of 0.3 μm when air containing the particles is passed hrough at a flow rate of 5.3 cm/s of between 25% and 80%, a thickness of 0.4 mm or less, and a PF value between 7 and 15. The PF value={−log((100−collection efficiency (%))/100)}/(pressure drop (Pa)/1000). A ratio of the PF value of the pre-collection member to the PF value when the first and second films are overlapped, is between 0.20 and 0.45. The filter medium can be used in a filter pack or filter unit, and may be produced by integrating the first and second films and the pre-collection member using heat lamination.
FLUID FILTRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A fluid filtration system that includes one or more layers, including a trapping layer and a reactive layer, connected to a frame. A method for fluid filtration that includes sorbing contaminants, trapping contaminants, and degrading contaminants.
