FILTER BAGS COMPRISING A POROUS MEMBRANE
A filter bag is disclosed that comprises a porous membrane having a strength in the transverse direction to improve durability. There is a filter assembly for filtering particulates from a gas stream comprising a support substructure and a filter bag at least partially surrounding the support substructure. The filter bag comprises a porous membrane having a upstream surface exposed to the gas stream. The porous membrane is lightweight and has a structure to collect the particulates on the upstream surface. In particular, the porous membrane has a bubble point of 0.06 MPa or more and has a strength in a transverse direction that is 100 N/m or more. Other filter bags disclosed comprise a laminate comprising a porous membrane having a bubble point of 0.06 MPa or more and a second layer that acts as a sacrificial material.
NASAL FILTER POD
A nasal pod is described for dispensing a compound such as asthma medication to air inhaled through the nose.
DEVICE FOR PULVERIZATION AND EXPLOSION SUPPRESSION OF LOW CARBON GAS HYDRATE
The present invention discloses a device for pulverization and explosion suppression of low carbon gas hydrate (LCGH). A feeding chamber connects with a pulverizing chamber, and the chambers communicate through a feed port. A pulverizing air pipe and the feeding chamber communicate through a feeding air pipe; two ends of a venturi connect with an entrainment chamber and a disperser respectively; and a gas-solid separation membrane (GSSM) is disposed on a discharging port and used for preventing LCGH powder from entering the entrainment chamber from the pulverizing chamber. When an explosion is triggered, the GSSM is opened to make the LCGH powder enter the entrainment chamber. The device can store and pulverize the LCGH and spray LCGH powder to achieve combustion and explosion suppression.
Devices, systems and methods for elution of particles from flat filters
Devices, systems and methods are disclosed which relate to using a wet foam elution method for removal of particles from a flat filter. Particles are captured from the atmosphere onto the flat filter. The flat filter is then placed into an extractor which passes a stream of wet foam through the flat filter. Expansion of the foam works to efficiently remove captured particles. The foam flows from the filter along with the captured particles into a sample container. Once in the sample container, the foam quickly breaks down leaving an analysis ready liquid sample.
Filter cap assembly including protective baffle and method of use
A filter baffle assembly including a filter cap engageable to a mouth of a container, the filter cap including a filter vent operatively attached to a liner situated within an inner space of the filter cap, and a gas permeable point baffle welded to the liner and covering the filter vent, the point baffle including at least one perforation to permit gas exchange between the container interior and the filter vent, and to protect the filter vent from contact with contents in the container. A gas permeable point baffle for protecting a filter vent from contact with the contents of a container, including at least one perforation, the point baffle being welded to a liner and covering a filter vent operatively attached to the liner, housed within a cap engageable to the mouth of the container. A method for protecting a filter vent from the contents of a container.
Filter medium and filter unit
A filter medium includes a first porous PTFE membrane, a first air-permeable support member, a second porous PTFE membrane, and a second air-permeable support member. A surface of the filter medium is formed by the first porous PTFE membrane. A bond strength, as measured by a 180 peel test, between the first porous PTFE membrane and the first air-permeable support member is higher than 1.2 N/25 mm. The first air-permeable support member is an embossed non-woven fabric having one or more recessed portions and one or more projecting portions. A ratio of the area of the recessed portion or the total area of the recessed portions to the area of the embossed non-woven fabric serving as the first air-permeable support member is more than 15%.
Microgravity urine collection and storage
A microgravity urine collection apparatus may include a bellows defining an internal chamber having a selectively adjustable volume. The bellows may include an inlet and an outlet. The microgravity urine collection apparatus may further include a first valve coupled to the bellows and configured to selectively control fluid flow through the inlet. The microgravity urine collection apparatus may also include a second valve coupled to the bellows and configured to allow fluid flow out of the bellows via the outlet and prevent fluid flow into the bellows via the outlet.
GAS FILTERING DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a gas filtering device that allows to cover and filter gases emanating from liquid and/or solid substances without the use of auxiliary technologies. The gas filtering device comprises an air tight geomembrane that is adapted to cover and seal the surface from which the gas emanations come from, one or more air permeable filtering cartridge pocket(s) embedded within the air tight geomembrane that are adapted to adopt an opened configuration and a closed configuration, and one or more corresponding filtering cartridge(s) that are releasably secured within the air permeable filtering cartridge pocket.
PRECONFIGURED SINGLE-USE FILTRATION DEVICE
A single-use filtration device (10) comprises a plurality of single-use filter capsules (12) connected with each other by rigid lines, of which at least a part is firmly mounted in a raster universally specified by a holder (14). The filter capsules (12), in particular as regards the type of filter, type of construction and/or size, and/or the connections of the filter capsules (12), are preconfigured for a desired filtration process.
FLUORORESIN POROUS FILM AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a fluororesin porous film in which, based on the total thickness of the fluororesin porous film composed of a single 5 m to 300 m layer, a thickness ratio of nodes distributed on any one surface shows a difference of 5% or more compared to a thickness ratio of nodes distributed on the other surface forming the remaining part, a method for preparing the same, and a vent filter including the porous film.
