Systems and methods for data processing and performing structured and configurable data compression

Data processing and compression of healthcare information may be performed by mapping the attributes of healthcare data from a standard healthcare coding to one or a few encoded bytes to greatly reduce the data storage and transmission requirements, facilitating the use of healthcare data storage and transmission in disconnection, intermittent, or low-bandwidth environments. The disclosed compression can facilitate the movement of large amounts of patient information using relatively low storage capability devices.

The first device and the second device are respectively coupled to a first bone and a second bone of a musculoskeletal system. The first and second devices each include electronic circuitry, one or more sensors, and an IMU. A bracket, wrap, or sleeve can be used to hold the first and second devices to the musculoskeletal system. The first and second devices are configured to send measurement data to a computer. The first and second devices each have an antenna system. Electronic circuitry in the first or second devices are configured to harvest energy from a received radio frequency signal to recharge a battery to maintain operation.

SNAP BAND DRESSING DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
20230404811 · 2023-12-21 ·

Snap band dressing devices and methods are disclosed. The snap band dressing device serves to protect a point of entry from bacteria and other elements found outside the body. For example, the snap band in dressing devices may include a snap band having an elongated open shape and a coiled closed shape, and a layer integral with or coupled to the snap band and configured to elute a fluid to a wound site when the snap band is positioned around the circumferential wound site in the coiled closed shape. Methods are also provided including snapping a snap band in a coiled closed shape about a circumferential wound site and eluting an antimicrobial substance to a wound site when the snap band is positioned around the circumferential wound site in the coiled closed shape.

Bandage with an insertable medical data card
10940711 · 2021-03-09 · ·

A bandage with an insertable medical data card consisting of a bandage with a central pocket, a slit for accessing the pocket, a flap for sealing the pocket, and a transparent faceplate on the pocket. The medical data card contains pertinent medical data of a user adapted to be inserted into the pocket of the bandage and the bandage worn upon the body of the user. The bandage is changeable every three to four days and the medical data card can be transferred from one bandage to another. The system provides a wearable medical data card which instantly informs first responders and medical caregivers of the user's pertinent medical information, saving precious time while life saving measures based on the pertinent medical information gleaned from the medical data card are being implemented.

STRETCHABLE HEATING TAPE
20210077294 · 2021-03-18 ·

The present disclosure is directed to a heating mechanism including stretchable heating tape and a rechargeable electrical power source. The stretchable heating tape can be worn to provide heat and pressure relief on different parts of a user's body anisotropically. On one side of such stretchable tape lies a single-layer fabric in which non-stretchable heating wire is at least partially weaved with knitted stretchable yarns to make a stretchable fabric that can stretch up to 100%. On the other side of the stretchable tape lies an adhesive material that provides tension at various levels of stretch up to 100% and can sustain multiple hours on direct skin applications. Such stretchable fabric can have a connector coming from one end or both ends which provides a path for power through an inter-connecting cable between the stretchable tape and a controller which includes the power source and its control circuitry.

APPARATUSES AND SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING WOUND CLOSURE AND DELIVERING LOCAL TREATMENT AGENTS
20210069390 · 2021-03-11 ·

Systems and methods for monitoring wound closure are described herein. The systems include a dressing for applying to a wound. The dressing includes an elasticized membrane having a first side and a second side and a reference object disposed on the first side. The elasticized membrane is movable between a relaxed state where the reference object has a first configuration and a stretched state where the reference object has a second configuration, the second configuration corresponding to an amount of swelling of an area of skin around the wound. The systems also include a camera for capturing an image of the reference object in the second configuration and a processor for comparing the image to a stored image of the reference object in the first configuration and determining a degree of swelling of the area of skin around the wound based on the comparison.
