Ambient air purifier with humidification and dehumidification
Indoor air is purified using a purifying solution in an arrangement capable of removing formaldehyde and other pollutants, such as, for example, particulates. The arrangement can prevent re-vaporization of volatile compounds and can generate air that has been humidified or dehumidified. In one approach, incoming air is contacted with the purifying solution in a packed bed.
CONTROL SCHEME FOR AMINE CONTACTOR
Systems and methods for controlling an amine contactor are provided. An exemplary method includes determining a pickup ratio for a solvent in the contactor, measuring a temperature of a lower tray of the contactor, adjusting the pickup ratio based, at least in part, on the temperature, and adjusting a flow rate for an injection of lean solvent into the contactor based, at least in part, on the pickup ratio.
STATE QUANTITY PREDICTION DEVICE AND STATE QUANTITY PREDICTION METHOD
A state quantity prediction device includes: a first differential predictive value calculation unit configured to deal with a nonlinear component of a function whose variables are dynamic characteristics of the state quantity with respect to the input parameter and a difference value between a past predictive value of the state quantity and a predictive value of the physical model, input the input parameter and the past predictive value of the state quantity, and include a learned neutral network for outputting a first differential predictive value; a second differential predictive value calculation unit configured to deal with a linear component of the function, input the input parameter and the past predictive value, and output a second differential predictive value; and a state quantity predictive value calculation unit configured to calculate a predictive value of the state quantity.
AUTOMATED CO2 CAPTURE PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM WITH SOLVENT PROPERTY PREDICTION
A carbon dioxide capture process system includes an absorber vessel, a stripper, a first group of sensors and a second group[ of sensors. The first group of sensors is adapted for collecting real-time temperature, pH, density and viscosity data for a lean carbon capture solvent used for carbon capture from an acid gas adjacent the lean carbon capture solvent inlet. The second group of sensors is adapted for collecting real-time temperature, pH, density and viscosity data for a rich carbon capture solvent following carbon capture from the acid gas adjacent the rich carbon capture solvent inlet. A control system and related method are also described.
Scrubber system with automatic pressure control venturi
Provided is a scrubber system in which by improving a structure of an existing scrubber inlet preventer, a diameter of the lower end of a second cleaning liquid buffer forming the lower end of the inlet preventer is extended, a separate nozzle is installed in a lower pipe part to prevent generated powder from blocking the lower end of the inlet preventer, a path of a material to be treated first descends along the inlet preventer and then first ascends along a first chamber and a second chamber, second descends to a third chamber again, wherein the an automatic pressure control system including a venturi is installed on the upper end of the third chamber to prevent a backflow of the material to be treated, and then is guided to a fourth chamber with a polypropylene absorber to second descend in the fourth chamber and discharged to an outlet.
MODELLING OF OPERATING AND/OR DIMENSIONING PARAMETERS OF A GAS TREATMENT PLANT
The invention relates to methods and systems for determining operating and/or dimensioning parameters of a gas treatment plant including at least one gas treatment unit as well as methods and systems for generating a request to initiate the determination of operating and/or dimensioning parameters of a gas treatment plant. The invention further relates to a computer program and non-volatile or non-transitory storage medium with the computer program, which when executed on one or more processors, performs one or more of the methods.
Method and process for capturing carbon dioxide from marine engines
A method and modular desulfurization-decarbonization apparatus for removing contaminants from exhaust gas is described. The apparatus comprises discrete modular units with distinct functions. The modular units may be housed in standard shipping containers and installed on cargo ships. The modules can be removed and replaced while docking with minimal disruption to ship and port operations.
Spray dryer absorber vibrator device and method
A spray dryer absorber operative for removing gaseous pollutants from a hot process flue gas and a vibrator device for removing accumulated deposits therefrom is provided. The spray dryer absorber includes a spray dryer chamber equipped with a plurality of dispersers and atomizers mounted at a roof of the spray dryer chamber. The vibrator device is operative to remove accumulated deposits from the spray dryer absorber and its components, such as its dispersers and atomizers, to avoid spray dryer absorber performance interference caused by such deposit accumulations.
Carbon dioxide capture system and method of operating carbon dioxide capture system
A carbon dioxide capture system includes: a washing unit which uses cleaning water to clean absorption unit exhaust gas or stripping unit exhaust gas; and a gas-liquid separation device which allows condensed water generated by cooling washing unit exhaust gas to be separated from the washing unit exhaust gas. The condensed water is mixed into the cleaning water by a condensed water line. If the amount of the cleaning water becomes more than a predetermined amount, the cleaning water is mixed into an absorbing liquid by a cleaning water line. A controller controls a condensed water valve.
Carbon dioxide capturing system and method of operating the same
In one embodiment, a carbon dioxide capturing system includes an absorber to discharge an absorption liquid having absorbed carbon dioxide, a regenerator to discharge the absorption liquid having released the carbon dioxide, a first line to introduce the absorption liquid discharged from the absorber to the regenerator, a second line to introduce the absorption liquid discharged from the regenerator to the absorber, and a heat exchanger to exchange heat between absorption liquids flowing in the first and second lines. The system further includes a bypass line to branch from the first line between the absorber and the heat exchanger and introduce the absorption liquid to the regenerator without passing through the heat exchanger, a valve on the bypass line, an instrument to measure a value indicating a state of the regenerator, and a controller to control a degree of opening of the valve based on the measured value.
