The present invention proposes to use a dry stream which is rich in C4 to C10 hydrocarbons as stripping agent for improving the regeneration of the liquid desiccant according to the invention. This dry stream rich in C4 to C10 hydrocarbons is extracted from the gas derived from the dehydration, for example during a step of extraction of NGL located downstream of the gas dehydration unit. The stream of stripping agent recovered at the outlet of the liquid desiccant regeneration unit may be recycled into the process of the invention or sent to a unit external to the process according to the invention. For example, this stream of stripping agent recovered at the outlet of the regeneration unit is sent to a unit which can receive wet condensates, such as a three-phase separation unit at the inlet of a crude gas processing plant, a condensate stabilization unit, etc.

Method and device for obtaining water from ambient air

A method for obtaining water from ambient air is disclosed that includes bringing the ambient air into contact with at least one liquid absorption agent for absorbing at least one part of the water contained in the ambient air, conveying an absorption agent diluted by the absorbed water to a first heat exchanger, and transferring the diluted absorption agent in at least one desorption device. Water desorbed in the desorption device is transported to the first heat exchanger, the desorbed water being cooled by means of the diluted absorption agent by means of the first heat exchanger. A device for obtaining water from ambient air is also disclosed.

Dehydration device, dehydration-compression system, CO.SUB.2 .recovery system, and dehydration device control method

A dehydration device removes moisture from a process gas compressed by a compressor, and includes a contactor that causes a dehydration solvent to absorb the moisture, a still column that separates the moisture from the dehydration solvent, a carrying line that carries the dehydration solvent from the contactor to the still column, a dehydration solvent conveying pump, a bypass line that couples the carrying lines upstream and downstream of the dehydration solvent conveying pump, a first on-off valve disposed in the bypass line, and a control device. In a case where the pressure detected by a pressure sensor is lower than a first predetermined pressure, the control device closes the first on-off valve and causes the conveying pump to operate, whereas in a case where the pressure detected by the pressure sensor is equal to or higher than the first predetermined pressure, the control device opens the first on-off valve and causes the conveying pump to stop.

ELECTRODIALYTIC LIQUID DESICCANT DEHUMIDIFYING SYSTEM
20210370228 · 2021-12-02 ·

Air flows across an air-liquid interface such that liquid desiccant flowing through the interface absorbs water from the air and is thereby diluted to form an output stream. The output stream is circulated through an electrodialytic stack having a central ionic exchange membrane and first and second outer ionic exchange membranes. A redox shuttle loop circulates around the first and second outer ionic exchange membranes. A voltage is applied across the electrodialytic stack, which regenerates the liquid desiccant.

The hybrid desalination and energy production system includes a desalination system for separating seawater into purified water and brine, an electrodialysis system for treating the brine and outputting low salinity water, a hypersaline brine solution, and H.sub.2 gas; an evaporator for treating the hypersaline brine solution and outputting salt and water vapor; a superheater for treating the water vapor and outputting a superheated water vapor; a turbine for receiving the superheated water vapor to generate energy; a gas scrubber for receiving the H.sub.2 gas from the electrodialysis system and producing dry hydrogen; and a hydrogen cell for receiving the dry hydrogen and outputting energy. A condenser converts the vapor into condensate and low salinity water. A desalinated water collection tank receives the desalinated or low salinity water. A pressure retarded osmosis system receives the brine, the low salinity water, and condensate from the condenser to produce dilute brine.

ATMOSPHERIC WATER GENERATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS

An atmospheric water generation system comprises water vapor consolidation systems configured to increase the relative humidity of a controlled air stream prior to condensing water from the controlled air stream. The water vapor consolidation system comprises a fluid-desiccant flow system configured to decrease the temperature of the desiccant to encourage water vapor to be absorbed by the desiccant from an atmospheric air flow. The desiccant flow is then heated to encourage water vapor evaporation from the desiccant flow into a controlled air stream that circulates within the system. The humidity of the controlled air stream is thereby increased above the relative humidity of the atmospheric air to facilitate condensation of the water vapor into usable liquid water.
