Medical treatment systems and related methods thereof

A medical system including a compressible device, and a covering over the compressible device, wherein the covering includes a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration, wherein, in the delivery configuration, the covering at least partially covers the compressible device to maintain the compressible device in a compressed state, and wherein, in the deployed configuration, the covering is releasable from the device to transition the compressible device from the compressed state to an expanded state.

DRESSING USING DIFFERENTIAL SURFACE FEATURES FOR USE IN COMPARTMENT SPACES
20230049375 · 2023-02-16 ·

A dressing for treating a tissue site, particularly an abdominal or peritoneal site, is disclosed. In some embodiments, the dressing may comprise a tissue interface formed from a first layer of a liquid-impermeable material and a plurality of manifolding bubbles formed as part of the first layer. In some embodiments, the tissue interface may further comprise a second layer of a liquid-impermeable material, where the manifolding bubbles are formed as closed cells between the first layer and the second layer. The tissue interface may also include a third layer of liquid-impermeable material positioned adjacent to the second layer, where one or more fluid passageways may be formed between the second layer and third layer for delivering a therapeutic fluid to the tissue site.

Negative pressure device including expandable segment

A negative pressure device for applying to skin is configured to define a sealed enclosed three-dimensional space when at least a portion of the device is sealed against the skin. The device includes a body including at least one expandable segment that is configured to expand after the device has been sealed against the skin.

DRESSING WITH IMPROVED FLUID DISTRIBUTION
20220354703 · 2022-11-10 · ·

A dressing including a film which is impermeable to fluids and permeable to water vapor, and the entire surface of which is covered by a perforated reinforcement coated with a medically acceptable adhesive which is the same or different on each of the faces thereof, the face opposite to the face in contact with the impermeable film of an adhesive being partially covered by an absorbent pad, The dressing further includes a layer for distributing the fluids which is positioned between the impermeable film and the perforated reinforcement.

Dressing Employing Features For Protection Against Maceration

Dressings for treating a tissue site with negative pressure are disclosed, which may include a dressing having multiple layers and incorporating a material adapted to neutralize proteolytic enzymes. In one example embodiment, a dressing may include a first layer comprising a hydrophobic gel having a plurality of apertures. A material adapted to neutralize proteolytic enzymes may be applied to a surface of the first layer. The dressing may further include a second layer comprising a fenestrated film and coupled to the first layer. Additionally, the dressing may include a third layer comprising a manifold, which in some instances may be a polymeric foam. The dressing may further include a fourth layer comprising a polymer drape.

DRESSING WITH INTEGRATED SENSOR FOR NEGATIVE-PRESSURE THERAPY
20220354704 · 2022-11-10 ·

A dressing for treating a tissue site with negative pressure, having an integrated sensor comprising a force or load measurement sensor. The sensor may telemeter to a therapy system the deformation of the dressing as the dressing is pushed into the tissue site during the application of negative pressure to the tissue site. The sensor may measure the force that is applied to the dressing. Measurements of the force applied to the dressing may be taken using the sensor on a periodic basis during negative-pressure therapy to enable monitoring of the fill level of the tissue site as granulation tissue fills the tissue site. Monitoring of the force applied to the tissue site over the course of negative-pressure therapy may assist a clinician in making decisions on how to manage and treat the patient, as well as providing confirmatory data about the efficacy of the therapy.

TUBE SECUREMENT SYSTEM

The disclosed tape system comprises a first tape and second tape each with an adhesive that interact to secure a device such as tubing. The first tape and second tape each have a longitudinally extending midsection and laterally extending legs. The first tape overlaps the device, while the second tape is under the device, but with the legs of the second tape overlapping the legs of the first tape. This overlapping connection of the first tape and second tape strongly secures the tubing.

TUBE SECUREMENT TAPE

The disclosed securement tape strip comprises a tape having a midsection, a stabilizing section, and a wrapping strip. The tape strip has an adhesive along the midsection to adhere the tape strip to a substrate. The wrapping strip can include an adhesive for wrapping the wrapping strip around a device to hold the device securely in place on the substrate. The tape strip can include a perforation set along the midsection. The perforation set can be useful in removal of the tape.

RE-CLOSABLE WOUND DRESSING WITH INCREASED ADHESIVE LAYER
20220354700 · 2022-11-10 ·

A re-closable wound dressing is provided. A base layer is operable to be attached to a skin of a patient. The base layer forms a pre-fabricated aperture through which a wound of the patient is accessible. A cover layer is coupled with the base layer. The cover layer is operable to cover the pre-fabricated aperture, and is permanently adhered to the base layer along at least a portion of the cover layer. The base layer and the cover layer are made of like materials.

APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY

Disclosed herein are several embodiments of a negative pressure appliance and methods of using the same in the treatment of wounds. Some embodiments are directed to improved fluidic connectors or suction adapters for connecting to a wound site, for example using softer, kink-free conformable suction adapters.
