A formable cast (100), brace (180) or splint is provided herein which comprises a padding (101), an outer shell (103) spaced apart from the padding, and a ridge (109) disposed along the perimeter of the shell. The ridge, shell and padding define an interior space (115), with a curable polymeric material disposed in the interior space. The curable polymeric material undergoes a phase transition, upon curing, from a liquid or gel phase to a substantially rigid solid phase. The cast (100), brace (180) or splint may be readily customized to the patient by fitting the cast to the patient's body, positioning the cast in the desired orientation, and curing the curable polymeric material through exposure to actinic radiation or by other suitable means.

The present invention provides clothing for treating the fracture of a pet dog's leg, comprising: an outer cover surrounding the body of the pet dog; a traction belt which can extend along the circumference of the outer cover; and two leg insertion parts which are fixed to both ends of the traction belt, respectively, and into which forelegs or hind legs of the pet dog can be inserted, at least one of the two leg insertion parts being made of a plaster cast.

A wraparound portion of compression garments may include a mitt defining a mitt opening. A user may place their hand in the mitt opening of the mitt to assist in donning the compression garments about their body. For example, the wraparound portion of the compression garment may be located in awkward position for a human user to grasp, and the mitt and mitt opening may assist a user in grasping and moving the wraparound portion about their body.

An immobilization device is provided herein that is pre-fabricated, yet highly customizable to the patient's body habitus and injury specifications without requiring an expert or a lengthy amount of time to create and custom fit the device. The pre-fabricated immobilization device described herein may comprise a polymer material that is moldable, re-moldable and reusable. Examples of such polymer materials include, but are not limited to, a thermoplastic material, a vitrimer material, or vitrimer-like material, each having a transition temperature ranging between about 100° F. and about 180° F., and in some embodiments, between about 110° F. and about 140° F. A method for fitting an immobilization device onto a patient is also provided herein.

The present invention relates to a long-lasting medical product for protecting or treating a lesion in the gastrointestinal tract. The medical product includes a protective covering, wherein the medical product upon application at and about the site of the lesion adheres to the gastrointestinal tissue and is capable of remaining at and about the site of the lesion for a time sufficient to allow the lesion to heal or be treated.

The present invention relates to a long-lasting medical product for protecting or treating a lesion in the gastrointestinal tract. A knee brace of near universal application for any patient needing left or right knee stabilization, and/or suffering from arthritis, bone on bone contact, and/or narrowed joint spacing in either left or right knee. Brace is mountable on outside or inside of left or right knee. Brace includes a selectively activated force device for exerting pressure directly by pushing at a joint line of a knee or indirectly by pulling on a knee strap wrapped around knee and force device. A base, adjacent to the force device, at least partially resists pressure of force device, and is adjacent a flexor that allows knee flexing when brace is worn. Extensions connect flexor with base and force device to thigh and calf attachment straps. A knee strap may be used with force device. Knee strap has opening to fit over patella and straps for wrapping around knee without hampering knee flexion.

The present invention relates to a tensioning strap comprising a strap-shaped base body that is compressible and/or extensible in the longitudinal direction, and comprising at least one pull cable, wherein the pull cable runs at least once along the longitudinal direction of the base body, and wherein the pull cable is deflected at at least one end of the base body. The present invention also relates to various possible applications of the tensioning strap according to the invention—in particular, in the field of medical aids, orthopedic aids, or sports aids.
