A negative pressure wound therapy device, kit, and method are provided for improved treatment of wounds on complex three-dimensional anatomies. The device includes a conformable manifold made of a porous and permeable material with a pattern of cuts designed to transform the manifold from a relaxed, planar state to a pliable three-dimensional state when extended along the lateral axis. The kit further may include a wound interface layer, an adhesive, breathable drape, and a pneumatic connection to a negative pressure wound therapy device. Finally, a method for treating wounds using reduced pressure and the presently disclosed kit is provided.

Medical bandage for the head, a limb or a stump
11432965 · 2022-09-06 ·

A medical bandage is provided, capable of being rapidly, adjustably, intuitively and universally fitted on a head, limb, stump, finger or other body part, such as to conceal and protect a wound. The medical bandage is cap-shaped and deformable, is formed of several layers, and comprises at least one port for obtaining quick access to a wound concealed by the medical bandage. When open, a port can stabilize a drainage tube, or provide a passage through which to easily and rapidly apply a medicine. The medical bandage can be directly fit on the head or other body part, providing an all-in-one dressing, wrap and treatment, and eliminating the need for cumbersome and difficult to manage gauze roll and multiple bandages of various sizes, shapes, and uses. The medical bandage can include one or more sensors for measuring or monitoring body parameters or functions.

Inflatable flexion-correcting knee brace

A knee brace with an inflatable air bladder. In a post-surgical embodiment the brace includes a rigid shell that fits behind the knee. The rigid shell includes an inflatable air bladder on its posterior surface. A wrap is placed around the knee and the air bladder. When the air bladder is inflated, the knee is urged in the posterior direction—thereby decreasing flexion. In a rehabilitative embodiment, a rigid shell is placed over the anterior portion of the knee. An air bladder is positioned between the rigid shell and the knee. The rigid shell is held in place using the securing straps of the rehabilitative brace. When the air bladder is inflated the knee is again urged in the posterior direction.

WIRELESS PRESSURE-SENSOR INTEGRATED SMART BANDAGE

The present disclosure generally relates to smart bandages comprising a dressing and pressure sensor. The pressure sensor measures at least one pressure reading at a wound area while the dressing bandages the wound area. The pressure sensor includes a force sensitive film configured to generate a pressure signal based on pressure applied thereto and is operably coupled to the dressing such that pressure applied to the wound area is coupled to the force sensitive film via the dressing. A near field communication device of the pressure sensor is operably coupled to the force sensitive film for reporting the pressure signal. The smart bandage may include a user interface that is configured to display reported signals to a user for comparing the pressure at the wound area with a threshold pressure. The disclosure further provides a method of treating the wound area by applying the smart bandage to the wound area.

NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
20220226162 · 2022-07-21 ·

A negative pressure wound treatment system comprising a bandage portion and a negative pressure portion. The bandage portion includes a dressing portion in contact with a wound and a sealing layer positioned in contact with the dressing portion. The sealing layer includes an adhesive creating a seal around the wound. The negative pressure portion is in fluid communication with the bandage portion and includes a first valve and a second valve. The first valve is in fluid communication with the bandage portion and the negative pressure portion. The second valve is in fluid communication with the negative pressure portion and the surrounding environment. The negative pressure wound treatment system is configured to provide negative pressure to an area sealed by the bandage portion upon the actuation of the negative pressure portion. The negative pressure portion is configured to be actuated by compressing the negative pressure portion while walking.

Compression garment

A compression garment for a limb is disclosed. The garment can include a body portion and a spine portion. Each of the body and spine portions can have a plurality of bands (e.g. bands for adjusting tension of the garment). The spine portion can be releasably attached onto the body portion such that the spine portion is positionable at different locations on the body portion to adjust a width of the garment. The bands of the body portion and/or of the spine portion can be trimmable and include a detachable fastener, whereby as a result the band can be caused to move to a plurality of different positions to adjust the garment to a plurality of different sized limbs (e.g. different sized feet).
