FLUORINATED FILTER MEMBRANE, FILTERS, AND METHODS
Described are filtration membranes that include a porous fluoropolymer membrane and thermally stable ionic groups; filters and filter components that include these filtration membranes; methods of making the filtration membranes, filters, and filter components; and method of using a filtration membrane, filter component, or filter to remove unwanted material from fluid.
FEATURES ON A POROUS MEMBRANE
The disclosure describes a porous membrane including the following: at least one polymeric feature on a surface of a porous membrane wherein the at least one polymeric features are bonded to the membrane using a nanoscale injecting molding device. Another aspect of the disclosure includes a porous membrane including the following: a first film layer; a second film layer; at least one polymeric feature between the first film layer and second film layer, wherein the at least one polymeric feature is bonded to at least the first film layer.
Pleat cartridge filter
There is provided a pleated cartridge filter for high-purity chemicals that minimizes elution of metal from polyethylene into high-purity chemicals and is suitable mainly for a resist manufacturing process. A cylindrical pleated cartridge filter including a cylindrical core, a pleated filter material wound on the core, and caps sealing both ends of the core, wherein the pleated filter material is composed of a filtration membrane and a spacer laminated together, and the spacer is a nonwoven fabric made of polyethylene fibers having a metal element content of less than 40 ppm.
Filter cartridge, apparatus, and methods
Described are filter cartridges, filter apparatuses, and related methods that involve a filter cartridge that includes a cartridge support that includes centering surfaces, a helical strand, or both.
Fluid circuit with integrated electrostatic discharge mitigation
A flow path for a fluid from a fluid supply which may include a plurality of operative components including a body portion and a plurality of tubing connector fittings. The operative components may be connected by a plurality of tubing segments. Each body portion may include a nonconductive fluoropolymer portion and an outer conductor that extends between each of the plurality of tubing connector fittings and that is unitary with the non-conductive fluoropolymer portion. The plurality of tubing segments may include a non-conductive fluoropolymer tubing portion and an axial strip of conductive polymer. The outer conductor of each body portion conductively connected with tubing segments connected thereto. Each of the connectors may include a bridging component for conductively connecting the respective outer conductor of the body portion to the strip of conductive polymer of the connecting tubing segments.
FILTER CARTRIDGE FOR LIQUID FILTERATION; ASSEMBLY; AND, METHODS
A liquid filter cartridge is provided. Preferred seal arrangements are provided, to provide for preferred axial load conditions, with respect to one or more of the end caps of the cartridge. Some cartridge configurations provided include no core structure or outer liner structure therein, to support axial load. Assemblies using the cartridge, and methods of assembly and use, are provided. The liquid filter cartridge can be a serviceable cartridge, or it can be retained permanently in a housing.
FILTER ASSEMBLY
A filter assembly that includes a water separator as part of the filter assembly. The water separator is arranged in the filter assembly and includes a filter element that is provided with a hydrophobic medium through which fuel/lubricant can pass through. The filter assembly also includes a water separator positioned downstream from the filter element. During the operation of the filter assembly, the water separator causes the water in the fuel to be separated and accumulate on the hydrophobic surface of the water separator and, due to the gravity, allows the water to flow downwards along the surface of the water separator into a water collection/sedimentation chamber where it can be evacuated from the filter through one or more passageways.
ADSORPTIVE LIQUID FILTER
Provided is an adsorptive liquid filter including: a support tube having a hollow portion formed in a tubular shape and having a plurality of throughholes penetrating the hollow portion from an outer circumferential surface thereof; and an adsorptive membrane which is enclosed by the outer circumferential surface of the support tube and adsorbs foreign substances contained in contaminated liquid, the adsorption membrane including: a support member having a plurality of first pores; and a first adsorptive member which is stacked on the support member and has a plurality of second pores formed therein and is made by accumulating ion exchange nanofibers for adsorbing foreign substances.
Tetrafluoroethylene polymer, air filter medium, filter pack, and air filter unit
A tetrafluoroethylene polymer is provided in an air filter medium having a pressure loss that can be reduced and made uniform at a plurality of positions. The tetrafluoroethylene polymer may also be provided in an air filter medium, a filter pack, or an air filter unit. The tetrafluoroethylene polymer has drawability and non-melt processability. The tetrafluoroethylene polymer has a ratio S.sub.2/S.sub.1 of 0.60 or more, where S.sub.2 represents an endotherm mJ/mg in a range of T.sub.0 C. or higher and 350 C. or lower, T.sub.0 C. is a temperature 2.5 C. lower than a temperature T.sub.p C. (340T.sub.p345) at which a minimum point is given on a heat-of-fusion curve obtained by measuring an unbaked polymer for measurement having no history of heating to a temperature of 300 C. or higher using a differential scanning calorimeter at a temperature-increasing rate of 2 C./min, and S.sub.1 represents an endotherm mJ/mg in a range of 320 C. or higher and T.sub.0 C. or lower.
